Wonderful casual family-owned sushi/hibachi restaurant in the heart of St Pete! We made a reservation through Google and our table for 10 was ready when we arrived. The owner and his son Khoi were so welcoming and attentive. We tried a huge variety of sushi, salads, seared tuna, and hibachi entrées. All were absolutely delicious with very generous portions and reasonable prices. Tons of gluten-free and vegetarian options and the ginger salad dressing was so good I brought home my leftovers! Highly recommend for carryout or dine in and look forward to returning again soon. Loved Mr. sushi!!!

This modest little spot is truly a hidden gem, and I encourage everyone to stop by. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly affordable. I ordered three rolls with soup or salad for just $14, and I also got a side of noodles for my toddler. My son absolutely loved the food—it was perfectly seasoned! I’ve been ordering from Mr. Sushi for a few years now. I love sushi and although I’ve tried most places in St. Pete, I consistently come back to Mr. Sushi because of how fresh it is PLUS they are they are the most generous with fish portions. So many places serve rolls that are 90% rice but this is not one of them. The fish truly is the star of each roll. So grateful for an excellent, consistent sushi spot that doesn’t charge enormously for simple rolls.

This place is an absolute hidden gem, I don’t know why anyone bothers to go literally anywhere else in St. Pete. The fish is always incredibly fresh, everything I’ve gotten has been top tier. I seriously added a Mr. Sushi category to my monthly food costs after finding this place, I can’t help but go multiple times a month because it’s that good. Also it’s super cute inside and everyone is always so nice. I prefer the vegetable roll over the California roll for my combo and they’re more than happy to accommodate that. My 7 year old loves sushi but has never eaten whole rolls by herself, since we started going here she needs her own meal or she’ll eat all of mine lol
