This is a great cozy place. Food was great, decent prices and big portions! Service was excellent, fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place. Never had to ask for refills. We ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and the potato platter with eggs. The gravy on the fried chicken steak is flavorful, we’ll season and it has sausage in it. I’ve had other gravies that were so bland and gross at other places. The potato platter has big pieces of bacon, ham, onions, and bell peppers, very hearty and delicious. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. I don’t give 4 or 5 stars easily but this place deserved it!

Love these breakfast diners! Sorry I forgot to take a pic! Cheerful 50’s genre + speedy, friendly service, + great, honest prices! Steak and eggs for $17? Whoopie! I can’t pass that up! The looong steak was a little chewy but delicious flavor! I take it home and have 3 meals. Except this time I forgot it! Sad because my son would have enjoyed the fried potatoes I couldn’t eat! We will be back! We loved this place! Best wishes to you all for a successful 2026!

The breakfast was SO yummy! The people sitting next to us got served and when I looked at it I was sold. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the dish but it had a little bit of everything. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the gravy was delectable…it just all tasted delicious. Service was amazing, everyone so attentive. My only issue was my 5 year old wanted oat meal but it only comes as a huge adult sized portion and she didn’t need all that. I was thinking maybe charge me for a side of something and give her a small bowl of oatmeal, sometimes you have to pivot, even as a restaurant.

Nice little mom and pop style breakfast diner that was very friendly(had like 3 servers always making sure we had topped off waters, etc.) food was pretty dang good and definitely filling. Definitely agree with the other ratings, this place is great!

Today was our third visit here. All 3 times, we have had the same waitress, the older lady. I can confidently say at this point, don’t expect any kind of good service from her unless you’re a regular.
The only times she came to the table was to take the order, drop off food, and drop off the bill. Never refilled water, never asked about boxes.
She ignored our table for 10 minutes while she chatted with a couple of regulars and brought them refills, once even right next to our table but was talking across the restaurant to someone else, not even checking on if we needed anything. We waited 10 minutes, and finally I had to flag down a different server a few tables away to bring a take out box.
I loved the food, but it is not a fun experience having to either get up and ask people for something or flag people down from a distance. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

This is the first time I have been here. I will go again for sure. The staff is awesome and the food is fabulous. It took no time for our food to come. You can tell when a place is good, when people are steady coming in.

Excellent experience ‼️ First time there based on friends recommendation. Clean, quite, welcoming. Food was great. Had the Peach waffles special with sausage eggs and bacon. Totally yum! Great service. Very kind people. Clean bathrooms.
Plenty of parking around back. ️

Found this nice restaurant this morning called Corner Stone Restaurant on San Juan Ave., Citrus Heights. Grits grits grits…made to perfection. The potatoes were nicely cooked for a taste to remember, along with everything else. Benito the chef knows how to do it and Liz the waitress was friendly with a side of funny. I definitely recommend this restaurant’s breakfast. Try the grits, y’all.
