The cafe has a bar section with quite a decent selection of food/desserts. We ordered an eggnog latte and was good (although most particularly amazing).
What I like the most was its variety of seatings—couch area, bar tables, etc and quite a few outlets throughout the cafe.
We also tried the cinnamon roll; it was okay.
The food and drinks are decent, although not my fav in the. Overall, it’s definitely a cozy and cute place to work at and we’d come back again to work here again.
The coffee was some of the best I’ve had and the pastries were fantastic! The selection was unique and authentic.
I had the breakfast wrap which was quite good as well.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!
Unfortunately, the customer service wasn’t welcoming. We weren’t greeted and I wasn’t sure how ordering worked. When I asked a few questions at the counter, the responses felt short and almost bothered. Because of that first impression, we decided to just order coffee to go instead of staying for brunch.
Our iced lattes also came out warm and the ice was mostly melted by the time they were cold.
Overall, it just wasn’t the best experience. There are other coffee shops nearby that feel more welcoming and have better coffee.
Things you should know:
I. PARKING
There are various options. Street parking, public parking lots and a nearby public parking garage. All easily accessible ~ the only hold-up is that they’re paid parking spots, costing about $1/hr. Not bad.
II. SERVICE
Timely and really patient at taking my crazy beverage orders. They offer sugar free syrups for my friends who like guilt-free options for their drinks.
III. QUALITY
I’m a snob about my coffee, but their cold brew passes the test. My grandmother, who cannot have caffeine anymore, really enjoys their decaf lattes.
The atmosphere is inviting and well designed. It’s a great place to camp out at and knock out some work/studying.
IV. Fair amount of available seating during weekday late-morning. Seems to be a good time to camp out.
The gluten-free peanut butter cookie with dark chocolate drizzle was a dream come true.
And the iced coffee is the best I have had in life.
Perhaps a new coffee place for me! Loving the quiet, peaceful, calm energy here.

My partner and I came in on the first Friday of October around 8 pm. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted a drink or two before we went to dinner elsewhere. Aware that Orbis closed at 9 and we were just getting drinks, we opted to sit at the bar when one of the four people behind the counter asked if we wanted a table.
I counted about a dozen other patrons throughout the rest of the establishment.
We ordered two drinks from their menu, and my Espresso Martini was delivered to me wordlessly by the one person behind the counter and arrived a full 5 minutes prior to my partner’s Moscow Mule, which was made by a different person behind the counter, leaving us sitting there staring at my drink while we waited for the Moscow Mule so we could make a toast.
Neither drink was particularly good. They weren’t bad, but they weren’t good.
But wouldn’t you know it, when we asked for the check, that was delivered quickly and with sudden friendliness from the person who delivered my Espresso Martini.
The music wasn’t loud, so that was nice in terms of being able to have a conversation.
Maybe they’re better before the sun goes down, but lack of customer service skills on the staff’s part and an inordinately long wait (without explanation) for our second libation means I won’t be patronizing Orbis again; there are plenty of other establishments along Washington Road that can offer me a better experience.
