I just recently heard about this cafe & was anxious to try it. It’s inside the art museum, so while you wait for your food you can look at all the art work. Much of the art is available to purchase. Everybody orders at the 1 register, then you pick your table & they bring your food out. And they check to make sure everything is ok a couple times while you eat. Then you clean up your table by throwing away your trash & taking your dirty dishes to the bins located on top of the garbage cans. The pancakes were pretty good. The prices were quite reasonable. Overall, it was a nice experience.

A great hidden gem when you are visiting Latrobe, definitely suggest stopping by. If you are familiar with Mister Roger’s Neighborhood you might run into David Newell if you are lucky enough. He happened to drop on by after a business meeting and I said “Your Mr.McFeely, you’re from Mister Roger’s Neighborhood, that’s you, it’s you!” He gave us his autograph, had a 30 minute conversation with us, he was so sweet. He told us stories of what it was like working with Fred, how his absence is felt now more than ever, special appearances on the show, where some people from the neighborhood are today. The cafe makes fantastic food too, definitely drop on by! They will give you a free Mister Roger’s autograph photocopy!

If you’re visiting the Latrobe Art Center in downtown Latrobe, Pennsylvania, this café is a pleasant surprise and a perfect spot to grab a bite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting—ideal for a casual lunch or a quick snack while taking in the art.
The food is genuinely better than you’d expect from a small café tucked inside an art center. Fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, it goes beyond typical fare. They also handle the catering for the art center’s receptions and open houses, and from what I’ve heard, they’re available to cater private events as well.
Conveniently located and often overlooked, this place is definitely worth checking out. Don’t underestimate it—the quality and care shine through in every bite.

Art, friendly service, and diner food. Heaven in Latrobe.
I’ve visited several times. They give you a caraff of coffee! I usually eat then move to a secluded spot to do some work.

The art center and Ricolita’s cafe is currently the best place to go in downtown latrobe. Food and drinks are creative and great quality with most items prepared to order. It’s tastes even better when you know that it helps support a great cause.

Charming cafe inside the Latrobe Art Center. I had a tiramisu cupcake and iced chai latte; my parents split a Reuben sandwich. We enjoyed the meal and also enjoyed browsing the galleries. There were some nice pieces at not-unreasonable prices for original art, so you can also support the Latrobe-area artists’ community of you’re so inclined.
