Over all service was polite, restaurant was very clean and had a lovely esthetic. Bathrooms were even some of the cleanest I have seen. All staff practiced great hygiene wearing gloves etc while handling food product.
3 people:
3 drinks
2 potatoes
1 Nachos
1lb of ribs =
$80
BBQ Potatoes were a good size. It had lots of meat.
The Nachos were lacking for price point and were mostly pinto beans.
Meal would have been reasonably priced if the meat was good. Yes, they boast Certified Angus but the certification means nothing when the meat is dry. Brisket had smoke ring but no real flavor from seasoning. The pork ribs were so dry they were yellowing, had no smoke ring, or flavor. It appears they count on the sauce for flavoring.
I will say they do have a good bbq sauce. Not sure if it was homemade or store bought.
The Sweet Tea tasted like pure syrup. The fountain may need to be adjusted.
The food came out really fast! Well….
Chicken plate with cream corn, beans, ribs, side of white bread, sliced pickles, and onions. The cream corn was not creamy; it was poured out of a can with the juice and had milk mixed into it. It was very poorly executed. The beans were good; they had a Mediterranean kick to them. The chicken was half a breast, 1 leg, and 1 wing; it had flavor and was seasoned well. The breast was a bit dry but overall an okay piece of chicken. The ribs… they were dry, had no smoke rings, were reheated in a microwave, and I could not consume them at all. I took 1 bite and immediately spit it into the 1 napkin given to me. Tacos came on store-bought thick flour tortillas. I asked if they had corn tortillas; they didn’t know and had to go check… sadly, they didn’t. The brisket taco was dry; I mean, you could choke on it even with BBQ sauce and pico on top… the sausage was obviously store-bought, and I’m sure I can find it at any HEB. The flour tortillas remained in the same position with the folds for my duration of my time there.
Overall, I will not be going back, and I wasted $39.00.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s not only delicious but also genuinely enjoyable, Brickyard BBQ is the place to be. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how well-thought-out and inviting the entire setup was. The décor captures the heart of a true BBQ spot with rustic charm and a cozy ambiance that makes you feel right at home. It’s clear that a lot of care and thought went into creating a space where everyone—families, friends, or solo diners—can relax and enjoy great food.
One of the standout features for me was the tiny playground for children. It’s such a thoughtful addition, making this restaurant a perfect spot for families. Parents can enjoy their meals while kids have a safe, fun space to play. It’s touches like these that make Brickyard BBQ stand out—not just as a restaurant, but as a place that truly caters to its guests’ needs.
Now, let’s talk about the food—oh, the food! I started with a loaded baked potato topped with brisket, and it was nothing short of incredible. The potato was cooked to perfection, with a soft and fluffy interior, and the brisket was tender, smoky, and flavorful, adding a perfect savory touch. Every bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, and it was clear that this dish was made with the freshest ingredients.
Then came their signature sandwich, The Brick, and I have to say, it exceeded every expectation. This sandwich is a BBQ lover’s dream—a generous stack of brisket, sausage, and chopped pork all packed into one masterpiece. Each layer brought its own unique flavor to the table, and together they created something truly special. The meats were perfectly smoked and seasoned, and the freshness of the ingredients elevated the entire dish to a new level.
Everything here is made fresh, with a level of care and attention that you can taste in every bite. It’s the kind of food that warms your soul and keeps you coming back for more.
Brickyard BBQ isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the delicious food to the thoughtful atmosphere, everything about this place is exceptional. I left not only feeling full but also genuinely happy and impressed by the entire experience.
I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Brickyard BBQ. It’s a place where delicious food and warm hospitality come together, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
For a while I was visiting this place every two weeks for the brisket. As others have stated, it is a little pricey (the only reason I took off one star). Yes the brisket does melt in your mouth…ESPECIALLY the marbled cut. They were out of it today so I bought the lean for the first time. I was surprised that after a 45 minute drive home, the meat was so tender and wasn’t dried out. I started to cut it with a knife, but then realized I was easily able to chop it up with a fork. I used it to make loaded potatoes. The smokey flavor is yum yum! They have the best brisket that I have had in SA so far. The potato salad and sausage are also good.
I love chatting for a while (when I get the chance) with the two gentlemen and lady who work there. They are direct yet friendly, and have always been kind and hospitable to me and others every time that I have been there. Despite the prices I would still go there over and over again. It’s worth it. Enjoy!
Very comfortable and very clean…5* definitely.
Prices are worth the amount of order and all worth every penny I promise.
