The best gravy! The ribs were cold, fries were cold and floppy. The chicken was inedible. The coating was stuck to a top layer of chicken and couldn’t be chewed. The chicken underneath was tough more like jerky. I had a wing and a thigh. I would have told the people working there but from the ordering experience it wouldn’t have done any good. The person taking the order was nice and friendly.

It was really good! I got the chicken fried steak and it was perfectly cooked! The green beans and potatoes were amazing and well seasoned. Definitely going to stop by again whenever I go back thru town

I drove over four hours to try this only to find that the sides are not seasoned. fries Do not even have salt on them and the chicken needs seasoning as well. It tasted very bland. Could have used some seasoning salt and garlic powder thankfully I had some in my truck 🙂 the rolls are bomb.!!! Chicken is very crispy but seasoning is missing.

Always get the 5 piece chicken chunk dinner. The gravy is delicious and great for dipping my chicken in. Go to place for fried chicken!!

Actually love this place however I do have 2 issues with this particular order. Firstly my ribs had great flavor but it was cold and I tried them as I was pulling out of the drive thru so they should been atleast warm and secondly my Texas toast taste like soap, but at least they had clean surfaces lol everything else was fabulous

So it had been years since I went into what was then Charlie’s Chicken in Stilwell, Now Chicky’s.. I hit the drive through on occasion, but stopped in because I heard they had changed ownership.. the lady who was the store manager bought it and I was told kept most of the menu, but added some healthier options. Like grilled chicken salads etc. So I still ordered chicken gizzards, because I wasn’t feeling healthy at that moment, and some broccoli salad (it’s like coleslaw with broccoli vs cabbage, and was surprisingly tasty). But what shocked me the most was how the atmosphere had changed, people were friendlier if possible and the store seemed to smell better, I realized that it was likely the combination of the pride of ownership and the fact that everyone working there has to deal with the owner every day, vs some faceless person in California, or wherever, and goodness it makes a difference you can smell and taste. Go check them out if you haven’t.

Got an order of gizzards and 2 orders of fried pickles, and the quality of the them both aren’t making sense. The gizzards are tough, chewy and the breading is dry and stale (great snacks for the dogs I guess), while the fried pickles are soggy like they were cooked in old oil. Paying nearly $20 just to toss a portion of the meal is ridiculous. Can’t say I’ll be visiting again anytime soon.

Ordered the spicy fried pickles and they were not done at all. They came in a big clump and as you took them apart the dough was still raw.

I hate to say it but a banquet chicken TV dinner was far better than chickie‘s fried chicken. Overcooked dried out, tough as shoe leather. Gave it two stars because potatoes and gravy coleslaw were good.
