Something’s just never change, been able to come here in the morning and eat this food is truly a blessing, I loved how attentive caring and overall welcoming they were of me and my family, I love the fact I felt truly welcomed and appreciated despite been a small and a bit secluded restaurant, I will be coming here in the future once again as I only came to visit family this time around 🙂

The huevos rancheros breakfast plate was amazing, refried beans were fantastic and the coffee was excellent. Service was quick and the server was really friendly telling us about the history of the area once he found out we were visiting from Virginia. Definitely worth a visit.

Our family visited Cafe Alameda for the first time and had a phenomenal experience. Rafael made us feel very welcomed, his customer service was top notch, and the food was amazing. It felt like we were eating in abuelitas kitchen with the fresh tortillas, Mexican homemade breakfast foods and delicious coffee. We’ll be back next time we’re in San Antonio! It’s a must try!

I think everyone visiting downtown should at least try this place once. Today they had a few specials so I picked the tortilla soup for $11.99. It was really good and very flavorful. I can eat alot and this soup even filled me up. I was surprised that even with the special and a sweet tea my bill was $16 dollars but downtown prices are really high. I would definitely eat this tortilla soup again. I highly recommend it ❤️
Update: I also had the menudo from Alameda and I thought it was really good. I haven’t had a plate that I haven’t liked yet.
