Billy Club is a full-service restaurant and whiskey bar located in the historic Allentown district of Buffalo, New York. We are a short walk to Kleinhans Music Hall, Theatre of Youth, and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Join us for a casual weeknight meal or Sunday brunch. y husband and I made a reservation at Billy Club to celebrate a very important milestone. I recently passed a challenging exam that I had been working toward for five years. It was a significant accomplishment for me, and we were looking forward to a special evening.
Unfortunately, we arrived about 10 minutes late to our 5:15 reservation due to an accident on the thruway. When I called, I was told we would need to leave by 6:45 because the table was booked …
Once we arrived since we were on an “time limit” the hostess suggested sitting at the bar?? I declined and we were seated, we were reminded four separate times that we were on a time limit. It made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. Instead of enjoying our celebration, I felt pressured the entire time.
At one point, I asked whether other tables were also on similar time constraints, as the couple seated next to us appeared to be dining at a relaxed pace without being reminded of a deadline. I was told, “We’re just busy.” That response didn’t address my concern and made the situation feel inconsistent.
What was meant to be a meaningful and celebratory evening ended up feeling stressful and disappointing. This was an important milestone for me, and the repeated reminders significantly impacted our experience. Because of this, I will not plan to return and have already shared my experience with others. Also my $42 Steak Frites was cold.

Such a great place for brunch had a great amount of food and options. I ordered the shakshouka it came with toasted bread from a local bakery Breadhive Bakery. Now I need to go there to get more of that tasty bread. Both parts were so yummy. Orange juice tasted fresh squeezed. Service was great and ambience of the Bully Club was great. Can’t wait to go back. Reservations are recommended.

Cool, quaint spot to eat in Allentown! Walked in for Sunday brunch right as they opened without a wait and were seated right away. Ordered the French toast with the side of bacon, which was so yummy. My husband had the chorizo stew which was surprisingly summery and zesty. Will definitely come back!

Such a good dinner! We were passing thru Buffalo and stumbled on this gem. Might be the best summer salad I’ve had. Great gazpacho, crab fritters and scallops followed by a cherry tart dessert. Good wine and interesting cocktails. Cool vibe, I almost felt hip myself…

Second time at Billy Club after a not so pleasant first visit. Decided to give it some time before we went back, years to be honest.
Stopped in last night and found the same sort of unwelcoming atmosphere.
The drinks were good, but staff seems like they don’t want you there. Not sure how a place can act so pretentiously and have a bar full guests in baseball caps.
Very strange, quite unwelcoming. After giving it another go, it will be our last time and I certainly can’t and won’t recommend.

Almost everything is scratch made, great service. nice dim lighting. dishes were creative and presented artistically. fantastic roasted carrots. all the food we tried was great. The texture of the gnocchi was fantastic. Been coming here for years, one of the best in Buffalo. High quality.

You just can’t argue with this place. Explicitly put together to let you relax while being taken care of in a way that’s hard to find. Phenomenal food, phenomenal drinks; you could grab an easy beer concurrent with your tartare. A wide range of quality bourbons, ryes, tequilas and more. I grabbed a cocktail with a description I already can’t recall- curiosity got me, and it was a knockout. Paired very well with the octopus. Next trip shall be a longer stint to try the entire menu. I took one uneventful photo as I left because I had such a pleasant time actively enjoying the experience. Absolutely fantastic.
