We were on our way to Tillamook and wanted a quick breakfast. What better place than here? The food and coffee were so fresh and homey, it felt like being at Grandma’s. The biscuit and gravy was particularly fantastic. Highly recommend!

5 Michelin stars. This is what made America great! Crispy, balanced, flavorful. Nothing but the hits on the menu. Had the Grill cheese for my kids, a BLT with salad and the Dipper with soup of the day. Very happy we did on the way back from The Beach.

Awesome food! Stopped here for a bite on a motorcycle trip. Got burger and fries and chips, with a blue razz Italian soda. We ate outside under the umbrella tables. Burgers were super juicy, nice classic style with the hand cut fries too. Definitely glad to have found this spot!!

The food was so very good. Large portions! We had the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burrito. Even though we were tourists, we felt right at home. Highly recommend.

In 4 words: Found my Happy Place!
Well, I have more to say.
Want to know what was special about the 50’s and 60’s diners? Go check out The Hangry Red Head. Generous portions that taste great. Cool vibe and super friendly ownership. We came in near closing time but we’re welcomed like we were the first guest of the day. Had the Cheese Steak Dipper and house cut fries- Fantastic. An excellent
House Salad and to top off our experience with home made Pie Ala Mode- YUM!!!
If I sound over the top, well 39 years in the restaurant business and I don’t often find a restaurant that leaves an impression on me. So, when I find somewhere that leaves me anticipating my next visit all the way from Kansas, I must share it, especially with those I’ll never have the pleasure to meet.
I will be back, whenever I visit Oregon.
Thank you!

We found Hangry Redhead while looking for a diner on our way to the coast, and we’re SO glad we stopped for lunch! The soup was incredible, the sandwiches were delicious, and my guy wouldn’t stop talking about the fries… “These are the best fries I’ve had in this country!” We’re both absolutely stuffed and already daydreaming about our next order of fries!

Haven’t written a review online for 10+ years.
This place is authentic and I loved my experience. Friendly, good prices, great food and damn I just really liked them.
I default to spicy chick sandwiches far more than I should. I have never had one with this take and it was really damn delicious. I live in Seattle and I honestly have a thought that I may just take my wife down here for a day, visit beautiful Portland, and go to this cafe for lunch.
Keep it up, you are doing great.

What a fun lil joint with delicious food and friendly staff! We decided to have our Valentine’s Day breakfast here and it was so delicious and filling that we almost didn’t even get popcorn at the movies. I got the breakfast burrito which was lovely and not too heavy, but also had some great cheese pulls. The fresh tomatillo salsa that came with it was amazing, I would’ve killed to bring that home. My husband got the Biscuits & Gravy and only shared one bite, it was fresh and hot. We snagged a Marionberry pie to bring home too, can’t wait to dig in. The signs around the building made us chuckle and everyone walked in with a smile. Super affordable and super fun, we will definitely be back!

We discovered this place traveling a different route to the coast and found it to be welcoming, clean, and friendly. The french fries were outstanding, the best we’ve eaten. Our sandwiches were super delicious! we will certainly eat there again.

Cute little diner. My cheese steak dipper could have been quite good, but the roast beef either spent too much time on the grill or the grill hadn’t been cleaned well – it had a distinctly burned flavor. My wife’s ham sandwich was reportedly quite good, but the fries had an unexpected seasoning that didn’t go well. Very friendly service. It was a nice stop on our way back to the beach.
