I ordered a red curry pork for dine in and it was perfect. I also ordered fried chicken wings garlic pepper for takeout. I was genuinely surprised with the quality of the fried chicken. That was the driest chicken I’ve ever had in my life, I’m not kidding. Totally not worth the price (£7.95). I had one bite and that’s it. It was bland, lack of flavour and I’m going to say it again, extremely dry, not even a drop of juice.

My coconut soup was perfect! Fresh and as ordered without spice. The pad thai was good and could use a little more flavor but the food was good!

I really enjoyed Number One Thai. We used to go to a popular Thai restaurant in Cheam Village quite often, but the unpredictable wait times and them occasionally refusing orders when we wanted to eat got a bit frustrating. So we thought we’d try this place in Sutton instead.

The restaurant has a nice authentic feel. I ordered the King Prawn Chilli & Basil Noodles (Guay Tiew Phad Kee Mao) online for pickup, and the lady there was really helpful—she messaged ahead to confirm everything was on track and it’d be ready on time. They also had Thai beers on tap while I waited, which was a good touch.

The noodles were excellent: full of flavour with just the right level of spice—enough for a proper kick, but not overwhelming.
We’ll be going back soon to try their Pad Thai, as it’s one of our favourites. Excellent Thai food in London!

I’ve lived in Sutton for years, but I had never been here before! Which is odd, because I love Thai food!
I went eventually went here one Saturday evening with some friends, and the overall experience was positive!
For my starter, I went for the deep-fried calamari for £7.95.
They were fantastic! There was a good amount, and they weren’t chewy or hard, and the batter was crispy and light! The perfect starter!
For my main, I chose the chicken Massaman (£13.95) and coconut rice (£4.95) to go with it…again a lovely dish!
The curry was creamy, flavoursome, and went down a treat with the generous portion of coconut rice, which wasn’t too sweet.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, even though I felt it was a bit pricey…especially the rice.
The staff were friendly and helpful, so if you enjoy Thai food, then this is definitely worth a visit! 😉

I have just received the worst Thai take away I have ever had. The food was not freshly made and was completely tasteless.i placed my order just before 7pm; the delivery was noted to be between 7.45 and 8.00 – it arrived at 7.20.
That is the last time I rely on reviews.

This used to be a good Thai takeaway, which makes this even more disappointing. The food was clearly rushed , with quality slipping badly.

We ordered two curries and Pad Thai. The curries were watery, overly sweet, and completely lacking depth or balance. Massaman in particular should be rich and savoury — this was thin and bland.

The Pad Thai was worse: essentially a box of overcooked noodles with very little flavour, no proper balance of sweet/sour/savoury, and no freshness. It felt unfinished.

We called to give feedback and were met with defensiveness rather than interest in improving — simply told that “my husband is cooking,” which doesn’t really address the issue.

Everyone has an off night, but this felt like a systemic drop in standards, not a one-off mistake. Sadly won’t be ordering again unless there’s a clear return to the quality this place used to have.

Lovely Thai restaurant in Sutton. Food was so tasty and was served in these cute fish plates, the amount of serving was also good. The staff were lovely and very friendly. We had to book in advance which is good because lots of the table seemed to be reserved when we came in.

Small restaurant between Sutton Train station and Holiday Inn.
You need to take stairs up one floor to get to the restaurant.
Ordered steamed sea bass, Thais ice tea and fried rice. The rice must be order separately from main course.
Although steamed sea bass is in the spicy section of the menu, the level of spicy is very bearable for European. I am Asian so it is a mild level.
Delicious evening dinner.
