Very good food and people. Pleasant atmosphere. Complimentary hot green tea & matcha ice cream balls when you dine in. Tonkatsu was very good, tender & flavorful pork cutlets with cabbage salad. All the rolls are good, can’t go wrong here

The owners, who are so kind, run the restaurant both making the food and serving the customers. I got the best Kimchi Mandu I’ve ever had (among other delicious food, including a little mochi ice cream that was the best palate cleanser) and can’t believe I don’t see more people recommending this place.
I feel the prices were very fair for the value, especially compared to some other places who serve similar dishes, will absolutely be coming again!

Fantastic! Delicious sushi. Fresh fish and many options. Green tea served with the meal and complimentary mochi after our order (we had a group of 6)
Highly recommend. Simple decor and smaller restaurant so they wouldn’t be able to handle groups larger than 6 or 8.

Sushi Red makes the most consistently delicious and unique food in the area. Most other sushi spots around are fine, but they all taste the same to me. Sushi red is a cut above. The owners are the sweetest people and always make me feel welcome. Try the Korean specials, they’re authentic and lovely.

My two daughters and I have been fans of the chef here since before he opened Sushi Red. He is such a pleasant and friendly man that I frequently wish that I could speak fluently with him in Japanese!
The quality and cut of the sushi here is unmatched anywhere else, both in Connecticut and elsewhere. The trendier sushi places that have since opened nearby cannot hold a candle to this guy! Not even close.
You won’t find some of the more elaborately colored, Americanized nonsense here but you won’t miss it because the portions are generous and flavorful and you don’t need frilly distractions from the featured ingredients.
I’d like to give more than 5 stars. These folks are a fixture in town and I feel lucky to live so close by.

Lovely small sushi spot serving delicious quality food elevated above its strip mall location. Inside is tasteful and clean, and has seating for 20-30 people. Also a hit for delivery. Reasonably priced, very friendly service. Accommodated kids well too.

I’m very habitual with my order and it has never changed in flavor, quality or size. it is alway consistent! sushi red hands down, has the freshest sushi in town. i usually do take-away however, the atmosphere every time i go in is very peaceful and quiet. i see many dine alone and i understand why! the owners are very sweet, very kind and my meal is always fresh and amazingly delicious. as you can see the rolls are fresh and big!
