We stayed at Le Méridien for three nights and had breakfast at Soul daily. The food itself is high quality and the kitchen was excellent about accommodating special requests and substitutions.
However, the service was inconsistent. While a quiet weekday morning was seamless, the weekend breakfast service struggled. On those busy mornings, the staff appeared visibly overwhelmed and stressed by even simple questions or requests. Coffee refills were nonexistent unless requested, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold. This didn’t appear to be a kitchen failure so much as a logistical one. The bar’s layout is somewhat illogical; the only opening is positioned away from the kitchen door, forcing staff to walk the long way around just to check on orders. Adding an opening on the side closer to the kitchen would likely help the staff to be more efficient. Furthermore, there doesn’t seem to be a clear system for notifying staff when food is ready or a “first-in, first-out” delivery process, as we watched several parties who arrived after us get served first.
The evening experience was a complete contrast. The bartenders are skilled, the cocktail menu is well-curated, and the drinks were excellent. It’s a beautiful atmosphere, but the morning operation would benefit significantly from better floor management and a more efficient physical layout.

Nice spot for a chill brunch after running a race downtown. Simply came here to say that y’all must give your man Blair(?) a raise. He was very lovely, sweet, and had great energy for everyone who walked through the door. 🙂

Fantastic cocktail hour at this chic artsy downtown bar. This is not your typical place to come for a drink you’re surrounded by amazing street art and the bartender (Curtis!) was friendly knowledgeable and creative. He made an AMAZING Old Fashioned she he learned it was my favorite! Fantastic appetizers to boot.

Easy going space with upscale vibe. They have live music with various Iocal artists on Thursdays, 6-10pm. The service was great. The wine list was ok and they serve local drafts. The food offerings were a good variety for a hotel bar. Great for a date night or even a solo night on the town. There is paid street parking all around as well as a reasonably priced garage.

On Monday evening I had an excellent visit with Burch. I have been a regular for some time and his service didn’t disappoint. He made some great cocktails and shared one of the bar’s cocktail books. Two days later, I returned and had Jordan G as a bartender. She was next level. Every day you affect the mood, heart rate, and sleep patterns of every person you meet. Knowing that, I firmly believe the biggest impact you can make is sharing a laugh. Jordan did just that! She had the entire bar engaged and lively the entire time. It was a supernatural feat! Her energy and commitment to excellent service is admirable and she is very much appreciated. I can’t wait to see her in action again! Burch, too!

Food was delicious. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a London fog. I would not say the service was fast and the prices were a bit high, but on par for a hotel bar I suspect. Overall the service was good and the ambiance welcoming.

Had drinks at this bar while staying there this past weekend. Absolutely the best dirty martinis I’ve ever had, excellent service overall. Couldn’t catch everyone’s name but Seph during late night shift, the woman working alongside Seph, and the bartender who served us Saturday morning/brunch shift were all talented, kind and a perfectly good time. Highly recommended and thank you to the bartenders!

Wandered in while waiting for a table and ended up enjoying a night with the wonderful staff who were gracious, kind, and full of recommendations for things to do in town (were out of towners). Definitely recommend the neighbor as a place to check out and even more to locals as a very cool cocktail spot with tasty apps and a cool vibe. 10 out of 10!
