Let’s start with what a gem of a place this is. Beautifully remodeled. Warm. Comfortable and casual. The staff is amazing. Miss Ashley who was behind the bar is golden. A nice blend of class and toughness mixed with a genuine personality and alluring demeanor. She is attentive, works hard, and professional.
The chef of the evening was the “Ragin’ Cajun”. One word on food. Amazing. It is nice to find this level of refinement in rural Montana. Jason was kind enough to produce a sampler of the bbq. It hit on all cylinders for sure. He is passionate about his food and red sneakers. Truly some of the best hospitality and food that I found in my years seeking out Little Gems like The Outlaw Women’s Saloon.
Definitely not over hyped. But I would guess under appreciated by some.
I recommend giving this fine establishment a chance. Keep your mind open and your pallet will be rewarded.
I will be returning as often as possible. Definitely worth the drive.
Definitly adds to the top Motels we have stayed in. If you like to go to bed early I suggest getting a room in the back. If you plan to be at the bar late, book a room closer to the bar for easy access.
Everyone was warm and welcoming and we felt right at home.
They have campgrounds, laundry, and playground too.
The saloon is well stocked and is separate from the restaurant, plenty of seats and tables inside and outside.
The Motel has newly remodeled rooms and a laundry facility on site. This is also a great place for the hikers on the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) to stop for a zero day or two to rest and resupply. And there is plenty of grass to pitch a tent. Formally known as the Wagons West Motel here at the trailhead of the Bob Marshall wilderness, it is a perfect place for day trips away from the crowds at Yellowstone.
Had a burger one night and brisket the next. Both were great, very juicy. Good jukebox and there was a live band one night. There’s a few slot machines that put a few bucks in my pocket. The bartender was great. On top of everything. Cool outdoor fire pit in the front! Will definitely be back.
Not gonna lie, wasn’t expecting much, but I was blown away. Had baked beans, Mac and cheese and brisket.
I’ve eaten at Franklins, Terry Blacks, and smoke a lot myself but this meal was as good as any I’ve had anywhere.
