We have eaten at Captain D’s all over the South Eastern United States, in 5 states,.. and the food here at this one was absolutely the best we have ever experienced!!! We told the cook of our assignment, and the ladies working about 8:00 Thursday night Feb 26 2026, were of equal quality whan it came to customer service! I must say that this was the finest dining experience Captain D’s could have hoped to provide! Shout out to the staff, and to the food preparation as well as the food quality itself. Thank you for a great experience!

okay let’s begin by saying for one on that particular day they were not taking debit cards and or credit cards for whatever reason only cash
although there was no one in the restaurant it took 15 minutes to get my order.
Number 2 my order was cold
number 3 I ordered a 15-piece shrimp I received 12 or my plate so I had to send it back not only was I missing three shrimp but my French fries were cold from the start
the manager proceeded to come in and announced that she had to go and buy inventory out of her pocket such as shrimp and I couldn’t hear what else because they ran out
the coleslaw had absolutely no taste whatsoever if you need someone to make some coleslaw I can make it for you a whole heck of a lot better than it had absolutely no mayonnaise in it no taste whatsoever
number for the fish batter was not done I can verify all of this was pictures that I took the fish batter was not done so when you got to the middle of your product it was just sticky because it was not fully cooked,
the only bright spot to my visit on Sunday approximately 3:30 in the afternoon was Toya, she worked over and above the staff there are not properly trained and she is only oneone person who ran back and forth through that store like a chicken with her head cut off trying to make sure her customers were satisfied kudos to Toya,
oh and also if I met at a number 5 if anyone cares the shrimp were no bigger than my pinky you will see in one of the pictures where I’m holding it shrimp that’s once I peeled off all the batter that was not done

The experience eating here was good. The place is new, food was good but a bit pricey. The white fish and shrimp was really good, the crab cake in a shell was ok. They have a nice selection of sauces and sweet tea. Not something I will eat very often but wanted to give it a try. Service was good also. I gave it 4 stars because it’s way better than Long John Silvers!

Arrive at location at 935pm (closes at 11pm). Out of hushpuppies corn crumbles, with worker saying they were about to close. Again there over an hour before close time! Fish was not freshly cooked. Had been out under lamp and placed back in oil to reheat thus overcooked!!

I got the spicy fish two pieces and it did not disappoint. Everyone working at this location truly deserves a raise! I come every time on my way out of Jackson. Especially my cashier, she was fast, and friendly. I got my food in three minutes and it was fresh hot and delicious yummy

Customer service is very poor!!! It would be nice to be greeted with a smile or a Welcome to Captain D. Asia seems to have no interest to be at work or any type of customer service to a degree. It can come off very rude.

Order at the south highland captain D’s today and was so unsatisfied after I got home with my food my shrimp was cooked to hard my stuffed crabs were cooked to long like burnt my hush puppies was under cooked and to greasy falling all apart when you are biteing into it the portion size of the green beans wasn’t even enough for a baby l was so heated with the cooks that was working the fryers around about 4:00 pm today 11/3/25 l was big mad when I came back home on my side of town they need some new cooks or more training l’m just sorry never again

Portions small for price, wait was longer than I expected for it not being busy at all. Food was hot but tasted reheated not freshly cooked which considering the wait should have been fresh
