My wife calls in for two pizzas at 6pm on trick r treat night.
They tell us 30-40 minutes.
My receipt says I paid at 7:01
$29 for a large and a small.
I’m aware I was 20 minutes “late” as i got caught up with my grandmother on trick r treat night.
The pizzas were still quite warm to my surprise as I EXPECTED them to be colder than usual of course.
We ordered a white sauce pizza and a regular cheese.
BOTH pizzas were so hard and gross we couldn’t even chew it. The worst pizzas I’ve ever tried to eat hands down.
So I call in very politely to just explain and ask if they offer any sort of refund/credit policy. I explained what happened to the first woman who answered the phone and she was very pleasant.
She said “yes I’m sure we can get you a credit or something let me just TALK TO MY MANAGER……”
Then after a minute or two I hear “capos pizza” as another random person answers as if I’m a new caller.
I then ask “um? I just spoke to someone else and were trying to see about possible refund/credit”
The female manager (who I don’t think gave me a name) then says “I am the manager and I need to hear what you have to say”
I knew then by her attitude that she was not going help.
I explain what happened and you could tell she was excited to tell me “um I’m sorry sir but you were 45 minutes late and your pizza was not burnt”
I never said anything about a burnt pizza, I was not 45 minutes late according to the pickup time you told my wife, and EVEN IF THE PIZZA WAS A BIT COLD which it wasn’t even close, it doesn’t explain the horrible quality that was literally inedible. I’ve never sent a piece of food back in my life. This thing was cardboard.
I got told they’d be willing to credit/help me by one employee and then no by the manager. And this manager (who I wouldn’t have on any staff anywhere let alone a manager) couldn’t wait to throw me being late in my face and to say “no”.
I told her I was disappointed and will be leaving a negative review and she said “make sure you say you were 45 minutes late” lol!
I wasn’t asking for anything other than a “retry” at some point as I used to order from there on occasion when I’d be in town.
NEVER AGAIN.
Excuse the accurate language. I have to say I will end up dumping my money into these wings again and again with how incredible they taste. It leaves me salivating the entire time driving home reviews in a car and still salivating while eating them.
They have an early closing time so get them while you can this incredible spot deserves a line outside the door without delicious the food always is. Even my cats are lurking around me whenever I grab Capo’s for dinner. The staff is very personable and attentive in a way that makes you feel like they enjoy their jobs which is a rarity in the food industry. This place is the number one wings in Ashtabula hands down. The Beulah sauce will have you licking the plate clean.
Overall, it was fine. The food wasn’t so good that I would return when I’m back in the area, but I wasn’t overly offended by it.
