Le Smash on de Witte de Withstraat is a brand that’s been expanding fast and after visiting, it’s easy to see why. They’ve built serious momentum with multiple locations, but the quality still holds up.
I went for the classic burger with fries and their special sauce, that sauce was honestly the highlight of the whole experience. Rich, balanced, slightly addictive. Exactly what you want next to a proper smash burger. The bun deserves a mention too: soft, slightly sweet and perfectly juicy, holding everything together without falling apart. The coleslaw was also surprisingly good: fresh, flavorful and a nice contrast to the burger.
Service was great; friendly, quick and welcoming. The interior has a calm, aesthetic vibe with clean lines and a relaxed atmosphere, which makes it a nice spot to sit down and enjoy your meal rather than just grabbing fast food on the go. Only downside is limited seating inside.
Conclusion; Solid burger spot on one of Rotterdam’s vibrant streets. TourGuys approved.

– AFTER a review on uber eats, we got called about the mess up “but we could come pick up the missing items” while having an argument. Didn’t we…order, and pay a premium for that?
Best of all: with your cold delivery, you get a pamphlet that says: “is it cold? Not our fault! It’s probably the delivery guy. Feel free to microwave it though!”.
It is your fault if you keep delivering it cold often enough that you have to start adding a pamphlet about it, instead of improving your practices.
The first place in all of my ordered meals that managed to deliver me absolutely cold food, not lukewarm…cold…every single item.
For a 75eu order, you should expect at least warm and decent food. This was not.
So, 5 stars as requested. 1 for food, 1 for service, and 3 for atmosphere since i can’t judge that. Keep the discount.

Okay, let’s start off with the service. You walk in, place your order from a very simple menu, have a seat and < 10 minutes later you have a fresh meal infront of you served with a smile.
The fries are really good. Cripsy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect amount of salt and freshly made. Pair it up with your favourite sauce and they’ll satisfy.
Then the coleslaw is interesting. It packs flavour, but is also spicy. I was asking myself why this needs to be that spicy, for coleslaw you know? But a solid 8/10 for this side dish.
Then comes the burger.
Bun, great.
Garnish and sauce, great.
Oily? Too much.
Patty? Not seasoned enough.
This burger could easily become an absolute banger if the patties had a touch more seasoning and wasn’t so oily. I literally had oil dripping onto the seat that I was sitting on.
When you bite into it you’re like, damn, this is good, but what am I missing.
All in all a very good option for a smash burger and fries, but a little bit more seasoning and less oil will go a really long way here.

We both ordered the classic burgers. My burger was cooked close to rare, while my friend’s had a normally cooked patty. I don’t think this is normal for a smash burger. The texture of the burger was also really unpleasant, it felt really slimy. The fries were good

Extremely mediocre burger with bold (and questionable) claims to “world fame”. Two positions on the menu which taste exactly the same. Soggy bun. Disappointing milkshake. Extra charge for anything, including ketchup for fries. Extra charge for bacon which I paid for but didn’t get in my burger. Basically McDonald’s quality for 2x price.

Great spot with some real highlights! The fries were crispy and flavorful, the sauces were on point, and the bread was fresh and delicious. The staff was super friendly, and there’s a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal. Service was relatively fast too, which was a plus. However, the burger patty itself was disappointing—it was overly fatty, which really came through in the taste and took away from the overall experience. Hope they can improve on that, as everything else was spot on!
