Loved this spot and wish I could give it 5 stars. My cappuccino was great, but my husband’s americano looked like weak tea. The food was outstanding. I had a turkey pie, my husband had a croissant sandwich, and we shared a blueberry guava pastry. What’s a little weird is that they have a Vietnamese menu for Tues through Thursday, French menu items only Friday through Sunday. And when asked about the Vietnamese items, 3 employees had no idea how to describe the dish. Finally, the chef himself told us no Vietnamese food was available and took our order. We liked the look of the place and sat in comfy chairs.

There are places I choose to go. But, now this is the place I HAVE to go! The expectations ground you when you walk into the small establishment then the enchanting layout has you intrigued. Soft music, books, upright piano and then the multiple chessboards levels it up.
But, when you reach the register the menu and service starts the upward climb. Ordered the butter steak bowl and expected the typical bowl from a restaurant. Tricked again and this platter is laid before my wife and myself. Almost hit my head on my pretenses that shattered after the first bite of clean cooked steak with sticky rice.
Chef Christian added fresh vegetables as a palate cleanser! A palate cleanser in Texas! That little kitchen and small shop punch way outside of their weight class.
See you soon!

I was really disappointed with my experience here. My egg was burnt, and even after picking off the burnt pieces, the taste had already soaked into the bread.
The matcha was even more disappointing. I love ube matchas, but this one was not made properly. The milk smelled spoiled, the ube flavor was barely there, and the matcha itself tasted unpleasant and poorly prepared. I had to go home, strain it, and remake it myself.
For the price, it felt like a waste of money. I really wanted to like this place, but I left regretting it.

I ordered the Beef Bourguignon and it was phenomenal. The carrots and potatoes melted in your mouth, the beef and broth was so rich and sublime. My boyfriend got the Steak Au Poivre the mashed potatoes were delicious the steak had a lovely char on the outside while maintaining that blue to rare inside. The peppercorn sause was masterful overall 10/10. For drinks we got the Pandan milk tea also fantastic and I don’t even like pandan. I got the strawberry lemonade which was more sweet than tart but still delightful. 10/10 my favorite weekend brunch spot. The French cuisine is only Friday-Sunday so it’s hard to get spoiled on delicious food.

First off, really good coffee! We had a latte, a matcha latte and a machiatto. All three were just right. We had a croissant, a croquant and a muffin. Simple choices and so good. If I lived here I’d come back to try every single menu item.
If the food or coffee doesn’t tempt you, the place is so cute. Just come to enjoy the atmosphere. There was live music playing at a level you could appreciate but still talk at the table without having to shout.
I hope locals keep this place prosperous so I can enjoy it again at a future travel date!

It’s overall quite simply amazing. Great coffee makes great coffee drinks. In house chef creates classic French dishes from scratch. French- and Viet Namese-style pastries with pork and turkey, vegetables, and herbs stuffing, steamed pork buns, bahn mi…..and great coffee!

Hands down my favorite 1. coffee place 2. restaurant and 3. study place. I get an iced latte each time but love the Bahn me steak sandwich. Don’t you dare buy the last blueberry danish from under me! All baked goods are made in house and are phenomenal. The Classic French menu they serve Fri-Sun is excellent. Chef Christian is great along with his friendly staff. They also have a drive thru which I’ve never used, but hey, added convenience for those on the go.

First time here. Never experienced Vietnamese coffee before. The whole experience was exceptional! The drinks were very good! Staff was extremely helpful in assisting me to choose a handcrafted drink I would enjoy! I had a cafe sua, a mocha latte and a pain au chocolate orange. All of it was delicious! Definitely recommend and will for sure return! Love, love LOVE this place!

Highly recommend! I love this coffee shop! I was in town visiting from Austin and just happened to stop by on my drive back home. Nicole recommended the coconut latte and it is SO GOOD. I also ordered the Pate pastry and banh mi, both incredibly good with authentic flavors. The staff is all very friendly, Christian was telling me the story behind the shop and how they source their coffee beans. Everything is ground fresh daily. Very cute aesthetic, books to read, chess on multiple tables.

We came out to Corpus Christi for the weekend and stopped at this place for coffee on the second morning. I read reviews and decided I want to have the authentic Vietnamese coffee with coconut milk. Barista decorated it with dragon! I loved it! We also wanted some breakfast and I really liked the description of thr ‘Michelin scrambled eggs toast’. However, they don’t have gluten free bread, and I’m gluten sensitive. The owner, Christian, came out and gave me alternatives to the bread that included avocado and cherry tomatoes. I enjoyed this breakfast very much! Next time we are in town we will definitely stop by for another cup of coffee and breakfast. Oh, they also have ceramic house cup! I don’t like to drink from the paper cups.
Also, the atmosphere inside is very inviting. Several tables had chess boards. This would be a good place to chill at!
