Update: went back for the crabcakes, these have to be the best in the Villages. Outstanding!!
Excellent meal, it was extraordinarily busy on Sunday after Valentine’s Day, however, service and food were still very good. Meals were served promptly. I had the salmon special topped with crab imperial and if their crabcakes are as good as the imperial, I’ll be ordering those on the next visit. Hubby had the burger, came with hand cut fries. He enjoyed that. Back deck outside has great atmosphere although we noticed due to it being crowded both inside and outside were quite loud. We’ll return.

This lakefront restaurant in The Villages was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The menu is really well done, with a wide variety of options and truly something for everyone, making it an easy choice for any group.

The outdoor seating overlooking the water is a great touch and really elevates the whole atmosphere. Add in the live music, and it creates such a fun, relaxed vibe — everyone there was clearly having a great time.

The employees were super friendly and attentive, striking the perfect balance between being helpful and letting you enjoy the experience. Great food, beautiful views, live music, and excellent service all come together for a well-deserved five-star review.

We are renting in The Villages and have been to Harry & The Natives 2 times in the last 4 nights for dinner. Let me just say that it’s been 2 of the BEST dinners out I have had in a long time. The service, food and attentiveness to our needs was amazing. We had Sophia the 1st night and Joe as our waiter the 2nd night. The restaurant kitchen does not have a microwave or freezer so all the ingredients are brought in fresh and made each day and it shows. I had Crab stuffed fish and VooDoo pasta my 2nd meal. Both were PHENOMENAL! I also enjoyed a Chicken Caesar salad each night as well. John the manager checked on us several times throughout the meal to make sure all was well and thank us for our business. In today’s climate I can and will spend my money where I get value and my business is appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to you and hope you make the time to try it soon!!

Hands-down, this is the best restaurant in the villages. Everything from the atmosphere to the quality of service and quality of food blew us away! Their fish and chips were phenomenal, drinks were great (I personally did not drink anything alcohol alcoholic however, family members reported the drinks were sweet and strong!) and I cannot stress enough how awesome the atmosphere is here. When visiting the villages, we were concerned of the cookie-cutter nature of it all, but this restaurant stands out as unique and upscale, yet still relaxed.

Last week, while up near The Villages for a meeting, we decided to give Harry & The Natives The Villages a try for lunch, and it was a great choice. This is their second Florida location, with the original near Hobe Sound, and it absolutely delivers that unique, off-the-beaten-path feel we were looking for.

It’s a bit of a hidden gem..a higher-end tiki bar vibe located right on Lake Okahumpka, tucked inside one of the many developments that make up The Villages.
However once you find it, you’ll immediately see why it’s already popular.

You can dine inside or outside on a massive deck and patio area overlooking the water, which also doubles as the live music stage. The outdoor bar offers both indoor and open-air seating, making it perfect for golfers, couples, or larger groups.

Even though we visited on a clear but chilly clear blue sky florida day (high in 50s), the screened patio had multiple propane heaters and was very comfortable.

We started with the homemade chicken soup, which hit the spot. I had the house Old Fashioned, followed by the Mesquite grilled chicken sandwich with creamed spinach, and they were happy to add bacon per my request, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned and full of flavor.

As a former Shrimp & Grits Festival event host, I’ll definitely be back to try theirs. Also they are known for their Fish and Chips I didn’t have it this time, but heard it’s excellent.

It was already still fairly busy as we arrived for a late lunch at 2 PM, and I can only imagine how packed it gets on a warm day. The outdoor seating alone is a true old-Florida tiki bar vibe that’s harder to find these days.

Overall, the food was excellent, service was prompt, and we’ll absolutely be back on our next trip up that way. Bonus points for us dogs are welcome on the outdoor deck, which is huge, making it a great spot to relax with drinks and enjoy the day.

Highly recommend checking out Harry & The Natives and supporting a great Florida tiki bar.

Harry & The Natives is such a gem! The restaurant overlooks the lake, giving it the most peaceful, Florida-perfect atmosphere. The food was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and so much better than your typical local spot. The service was just as impressive; everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel personal. Whether you’re grabbing a meal or just checking out a unique local hangout, this place is absolutely worth the stop. Highly recommend!

Very friendly service. Lovely scenic view of Lake Okahumpka and birds. Black bean burger was tasty and not too spicy, excellent fries. Prickly pear flavoured gin cocktail was tasty—I think it was a double because I rarely drink and my head was spinning. Husband enjoyed fish tacos and beer.

We’re totally surprised. The atmospheres wonderful food was tremendous in my date was a vegetarian. We’re able to make a dish that you see in a picture taken out the chicken and put an extreme vegetables and made it incredibly delicious. I would recommend this to anyone on a date night or a family Yvette?

Horrible food. Six of us went for lunch and five of us will not return. Way too much breading on the fish and chips, as well as the fish tacos. Cold mushrooms etc. apparently the Shrimp and Grits are good.
Perhaps we will go again for drinks because the ambiance is definitely worth it and our server was fabulous. (Part)

This is the 2nd time we have been here. We took our neighbors from Waters Edge and now they are hooked. We came after 6 30 in the evening on a Friday…a little late for us for dinner. We had to wait maybe 10 minutes…which was fine as we ordered a drink. It was dark so we didnt get to see the view, but the total atmosphere is awesome. The special was a red Snapper and 3 of us ordered it. Scott the manager came out to tell us they only had 1 Red Snapper left. Chef Henry (I believe that was his name) came out and offered other suggestions. We were open to trying other dishes. One of us got the last of the Red Snapper and 2 of us ordered Wahoo filets. I had creamed spinach with my Wahoo. Both were excellent! I would recommend both. The gal that had the Red Snapper also had creamed spinach and also loved her meal. My husband ordered a filet minion and mixed veggies. He said the meat was a little cool for his taste as he likes it screaming hot…bot the restaurants fault as he forgot to tell them just to bring it out as soon as it was off of the grill. He did say the meat was very tender and delicious. Our waitress was Stevi l…she was very outgoing and attentive…actually all of the staff seem very nice and attentive
attentive..I pay attention to that. The evening was a little cool so I would recommend having a jacket if you eat outside. They did turn the heaters on, however we were sitting on the outside edge. So far this is my favorite restaurant in the villages, and now our neighbors!
