This has to be one of the best restaurants in the city. By far some of the highest amount of care i’ve seen put into food, that made all the difference in perfect flavor and fry. Freshly breaded and made to order. The banana pudding is LOADED, the mac and cheese is smothered, and collared greens taste fresh made. Can’t go wrong with either the fish or chicken. The best meal I’ve had in ages. Made by real kind people.

Great local spot! Hush puppies are moist and delicious. Okra was crispy and hit the spot. I also had the german chocolate cake. Great selection of cake. They have red velvet, yellow chocolate, banana pudding and more. They also have a lot of fun soda flavors. Roll up for great service and tasty food.

As the pictures show, a ton of food. The food was made to order. The catfish & chicken were seasoned right. I didn’t mind the 15-minute wait. My food came out piping hot. Well worth the 45-minute drive in the rain and over the bridge for the food. If you don’t want to wait just call your order in. I loved the old-school trick of having the bread under the fried food. The food is 5 stars if you are into fried foods. My only knock was that I couldn’t sit down and eat cause the doors were wide open and it was cold. So I ended up eating while driving home, which I was ok with. Will be returning.

The catfish and shrimp combo dinners are excellent. I’ve also had the catfish and chicken wings. Each combo meal comes with fries, 2-slices of wheat bread and a small coleslaw.

It’s goes to show you never know who coming in your business. This guy was on his phone the whole time. I said hello while he was on his phone. He looked at me and went back to watching a video on his phone. I have reviewed lots of restaurants and ate at a lot an upscale and hole in the walls. This why by far the worst experience.

The chef does not take call in’s because he’s on his own personal phone. I don’t know, but he picked up the phone and hung it up because management hadn’t made it in. He let it ring and go to voicemail a couple times before he actually picked up the phone and took my order just letting you all know this was my experience today 09/17/25
