This wasn’t my first time here, but first time reviewing. This place is the best sushi/sashimi in Lethbridge. The nigiri sushi was amazing, very fresh tasting with great quality fish. The torro (tuna belly) was melt in your mouth. We also got some edamame and the assorted tempura. Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend.

Large family group of us and we were well taken care of. I do not prefer Japanese food, but the family decided on it so my rating is based on that.
However, they do have meals for you if you don’t want sushi! I had a beef bowl and it was very filling. The shrimp tempura is a must to try. We ordered more and more. Overall great staff and quick service.

Food is a 5/5! It’s more the whole aesthetic and atmosphere that can be improved. But definitely my favorite japanese restaurant in Lethbridge.

My favourite sushi place hands down! I eat here at least once a week and have enjoyed every single menu item! Some favourites include the Neptune roll, caterpillar roll, lighthouse roll, and sunset roll. I also love how fresh their sashimi is, can’t get that anywhere else in town. Service is always amazing too!

Best sushi in town since we have moved from Vancouver. It’s authentic and quality is what we expected. Service and quality of food is what it should be., GOOD! Didn’t wait to wait too long. For food to arrive at the table. Waitress was attentive too.

My wife and I were in Lethbridge and we checked out the Lighthouse Akari sushi restaurant for lunch. It has a nice, clean, modern look to it, with authentic Japanese style food. The service by our server was friendly and fast and it was a clean and inviting inside with its modern style.
We had the miso soup, green tea, toro nigiri, sushi pizza, tofino roll, katsu roll and the signature roll. They were all skillfully made, and lovely to look at, but lacked the flavour that we were looking for. My wife and I have been to an awful lot of sushi restaurants and we used to go every Friday night to our favourite spot and always took home leftovers for the next night.
Unfortunately this sushi was a bit too traditional for us, as we like innovation, creativity, spice and flavour. To me it was a bit flat tasting and lacked the tang of vinegar and salt. The sushi pizza was different, but a bit gummy and not to our liking.
We have been to Japan and had sushi from Vancouver to Toronto and although carefully made and nice to look at, it was not memorable. I am not sure what other choices are available in Lethbridge, but the Lighthouse Akari in the end is still a nice sushi restaurant, just not the kind that we are big fans of.

Pleasantly surprised with this sushi experience! Food came promptly and all was very delicious. Lots of great menu options. Service was excellent as well. Everything I could ask for from a Japanese restaurant in Alberta! New go-to spot for sure.

My daughter treated me to a shared platter with “deconstructed sushimi” the vegetables were very fresh, clean, tasty as was the fresh tuna and salmon. The beef teriyaki was amazing and the entire visit was positively memorable. We will return every time we’re in Lethbridge

I’ve eaten in almost all Japanese restaurants in Lethbridge and I’s say they have the best tempura (also pickled ginger). The place is packed on weekends so make prior reservations. The food is top notch. Would have been a more pleasant experience for us if the server didn’t smell like cigarette smoke.

This place was very lovely and welcoming. The quality of the sushi was great, however the portion size was not that large. Cost was average. This wasn’t an all you can eat place. The seafood tasted clean and more fresh than other places I have tried in Lethbridge. The chicken bowl was flavourful with a good sauce to rice ratio. Chicken tasted fresh and moist. We finished it off which some ice cream and the green tea ice cream was delicious and perfectly sweetened. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. This is the place to go if you want to sit down with a friend for a quick bite. I also had a chance to try their appletini which was pleasantly delightful.
