Authentic Jamaican food with a true authentic Caribbean feel. Food is great with plenty of options to choose from. I’ve tried the rice and peas with cabbage accompanied with oxtail. jerk chicken and fried chicken ( they were all good). The beef patties were very good with the distinctive spicy kick you expect. Make sure you grab your authentic Jamaican soda from the wide variety offered.
Good Life Caribbean is located in the heart of the Fair Haven neighborhood in New Haven. Street parking is available most of the time. I highly recommend take out only as the space is a bit tight. Regarding service I’ve always received a prompt and respectful service.

I go with someone else, they originally found this location while on their way to work. The woman who serves the food is delightful and the food is VERY GOOD. I cannot remember the name of the place but memorized the address after going once. The owner is an excellent cook. We both ate very well for $66 most recently. The Calaloo, Curry Goat, and Salt fish fritters are my favorites. The rice and beans taste like coconut, the gravy is worth the trip. Love it every time I go.

This food was sooo good. I had the fried chicken with rice and peas, fritters, plantains and red peas soup via Door Dash although I ordered the goat head soup I did not mind because I eat them both and the soup had FLAVORRRRR with a good amount of meat. The fried chicken was nice too and I love that they added gravy on my rice, in which I tasted some coconut flavor (in the rice) I’ll order again & pray the quality stays the same! Nevertheless, so far best Jamaican food I’ve had in CT !!

Food is great! However the only reason I won’t give a 5⭐️ is because I don’t like it whenever I go to order an item. I’m told that the item isn’t offered in the lunch special container but I do expect to pay more of course.. BUT every time I come he’s making special exceptions for others. I guess I’ll never taste other items available, can’t return it. If I don’t like it. Not a way to make every customer feel valued or even order more of a variety! But I get the vibe it doesn’t matter. Whenever I wanna be valued I’ll head over to tropical crust & stop by here for convenience! But food is good!

The food was delicious!! I ordered a jamaican beef patty and it was nice a flaky. He gifted me a dumpling it was my first time eating it delicious nice and golden crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. I was full with that alone but I had ordered rice and peas with curry chichen..omgosh full.of flavor and spices!!! That will be my dinner.. lol I’ll definitely be returning for more delicious Jamaican cuisine!!!
