Absolutely delicious food, stunning design, and wonderful staff!
It was my first time dining at an Indian restaurant, and I had such a great experience. We asked for a mild curry, and it was perfectly balanced — full of flavor without being too spicy. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had reservation for the birthday and we enjoyed the food since it was a special Diwali menu and it was so good. Tapa was also good and the curries are to die for. Our server, Narendhar was very friendly and welcoming and made sure that we had a good time. They also gave us a mini cake and cotton candy for our special day! Yhe atmosphere was cozy and the music gave us the vibe of Indian culture! Will definitely go there again!

Delicious food (4.5 stars) and reasonable prices. Very busy on a Saturday night with a wide age demographic. The interior space is probably quite large but feels sufficiently cosy and the fit out is really well done. Staff very polite and not in your face. Eggplant and plantain curry was really yum. Likewise paratha. Dropped half a star as the mushroom and truffle dosa was not super super hot. Definitely freshly made though, no question. Prices resembles a cheap and cheerful place but the interior and service is anything but. Really well done Dosa Darlings.

The food and atmosphere were both lovely. We celebrated an anniversary here and they were kind enough to bring out a dessert with a candle for us. The service was 10/10 and the staff knew everything about every dish which was so helpful. I would absolutely recommend!!!

A really nice Indian restaurant, with beautiful decorations, great service and delicious food. We had their lunch menu tapas, which was great value and diverse to try everything. I’d recommend if you are in Oxford. We will definitely come back soon

Stopped here for lunch as I was in the area.
Whilst i can appreciate old charm, this place is quite dark and dismal.
The order was taken quite promptly, however, it took nearly half an hour for the food to arrive. Bearing in mind that this was a lunch time visit and there was only one other person in the restaurant, I found this annoying.
The Uttapam was small in size compared to proper South Indian restaurant – you can probably gauge the size as was served in a side plate. Also, the only accompaniment it came with was coconut chutney and no sambar. This had to be ordered separately which I did. It was £5.50. When asked why it was so expensive, I was told it comes in a bowl, to be shared!
A bowl full of sambar for a small Uttapam was absurd. The proportion sizes were totally wrong. I strongly suggest that the owner or the Manager go to a South Indian restaurant which specialises in serving Idlis, Dosas, Uttapams and other typical regional dishes to find out which accompaniments to serve and in what ratios.
I don’t expect to visit this place again.

Had lunch at this very nice restaurant serving South Indian cuisine. We had dosa and Sadhya lunch offer, which was really good value. The food was fresh, delicious and healthy. Plenty of vegan/ vegetarian options. The service was kind and welcoming. The restaurant was beautifully designed, and had lovely quirks (a reading of the Hobbit being played in the men’s bathroom!). Cannot wait to visit again.

Wow, what a Fabulous addition to the Cowley road!
From the greeting on arrival through to our departure the service was second to none. The staff were super attentive and nothing was too much trouble. As for the food, we couldn’t decide what to have so opted for the feast and what a banquet it was! In all honesty probably too much food for lunch and would have been better suited for dinner, however we gave it a good go! Again, outstanding dishes, a really good variety of flavours and so nice to be able to try a little bit of everything. As for the setting, both inside the restaurant and the courtyard garden were decorated beautifully in keeping with the whole vibe and ambience. Well done to the whole team at Dosa Darling for creating such a tranquil and fitting space to enjoy delicious authentic Indian cuisine in a great atmosphere with exceptional service. We will certainly be back
