My first experience at Roosters was OK. I would say that quality of food for the price you pay was totally decent. There was not such character or speciality in the restaurant’s design or dishes or tastes but you may give it a shot

Note: We hardly ever have issues when we go inside to eat. However, see the pickup reviews below.
Update 7.9.2025: To reiterate, if you are getting food to go check the order. Yet again, the order was not accurate. They have the “checked tag” marked as correct. However, I was missing an extra salad dressing, extra onions, and extra cucumbers on my salad.
Update 3.27.2024 We ordered pickup again….and again they forgot the sauce we ordered. Luckily, this time, my husband checked the meal before leaving. If you do takeout, check your meal. The last 4 times they messed up our orders one way or another. (see previous reviews)
Update 2.25.2024: Ordered pickup here again. They have a “Your order was checked by” on the bag and everything was checked off. However, both the ranch and blue cheese was once again left out of the order. Both of which you have to pay extra for. We have given multiple chances.
Update: The last two times we ate here we did pickup. The first time they forgot the jalapenos on the Rooster nest and the ranch dressing for the wings. Last night they forgot to put tomatoes on the wedgie salad. Quality control is an issue.
So glad they opened a roosters on Richmond road. The service is quick and the food is delicious. Their menu offers a lot of variety. They offer a rotating beer on tap menu.

1st timers here – We don’t eat out much for reasons of lack of quality service but this will be our spot when we come to LEX area. We had the best server (shout out to Sierra!). She went above and beyond typical standards and expectations for the industry. She showed genuine concern & care thru her collaboration with us as a family. She showed exemplary service and commitment to us as patrons – she verified my milk allergy, and it showed on the ticket as well, which was pleasing. Very pleased, and the wings were banging!

I stopped by the Roosters in Richmond Road Plaza and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the Chicken Fried Salad, and it was exactly what I was looking for—fresh, crispy, and super filling.

15 minute wait to be seated because no one was at the desk. Food was delicious as always. Service was ATROCIOUS. We wanted to eat outside and it was a mess from an earlier party of 25. We were there over an hour and a half…the mess never got cleared. Server was slow and not attentive at all, had a complete attitude. We had 2hr drive ahead of us and it took us almost 40 minutes to get our check and try to pay it… with CASH. I used to bartend and wait tables for years. This girl definitely needs a new job. Would walk right by us without checking on us. Never asked how our meal was. She was waiting on people 10 steps from us and not even look our way. Was a mess. Partially blame the manager. There were other wait staff there that could have helped clear those empty tables. Not one server took anything back inside with them on their way to place orders, etc. Ridiculous. This was a Sunday evening, can’t imagine what a Friday night would look like P.S. there’s a nail end sticking out of your outside bar. My friend kept getting stabbed in the knee by it.

Worth the 35-minute drive to come there. The atmosphere was fun, but not too loud or rowdy (I went in the early afternoon). There were plenty of games on – American football, Premier League. The restaurant and restrooms were cleaned, and the stalls even have full-length doors (which we should have everywhere in this country). The service was conscientious, helpful and friendly, without feeling overbearing or feeling like I was being begged for tips. Decent selection of beer. The food was fine, if bland. In all, a positive experience.

I am a simple guy, so the huge number of items on their menu was a little confusing for me, but it means that you can find whatever you want. They have chicken, yes, they also have pizza and burgers and salads, and you name it. And our waitress was outstanding!

Good place to watch NFL games. Large portions and excellent cauliflower wings. Service was solid. Not very busy for a Thursday night, no wait for tables. Price is very reasonable.

Fantastic chicken wings! Never been here before after being in Lexington for 5 years. Girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. They have a very respectable beer list. Extensive menu with many options. But if you come here, you’ve got to try the wings. They’re excellent! And the blue cheese dip they have is the perfect pairing. Will be coming back!
