I typically always order one plain cheese pizza as well as one specialty pizza. The specialty pizza that I ordered today was The 36th Chamber and it was delicious!
We also ordered the cucumber and feta salad which was also amazing.
The mini cannoli was interesting. My favorite of the 3 was the maple.
I am not sure that I would order them again but mostly because I prefer the other desserts from RP.
I have never had a bad experience when I have ordered from or dined in person here!
Their online ordering system wasn’t working (yes we tried different browsers on different phones) and they don’t have a phone number you can call to make an order. Frustrating when you’re timing the visit on a drive through the area. Highly recommend checking your pies before leaving the premises. We had ordered the Rickeroni with pineapple, and when we got home, found that they hadn’t added the topping we paid for. Plus there was a short hair melted in with some of the cheese.
We dove into a trio of pizzas: the Meatball Meltdown, Chimi Neutron, and In Crust We Trust. Each pie was a testament to the creativity and quality Rad Pies offers. The Meatball Meltdown was a hearty delight, perfectly balancing savory meatballs with gooey cheese and a rich sauce that had us swooning. The Chimi Neutron, with its vibrant chimichurri topping, brought a fresh, zesty twist that was both unique and refreshing. Meanwhile, In Crust We Trust showcased a wonderful array of toppings that harmonized beautifully, especially with the hint of truffle cream that elevated each bite.
While we were excited to try both the Detroit-style square pizza and the more traditional round pies, we found ourselves gravitating toward the round offerings. The Detroit-style was undeniably flavorful but felt a bit heavy and cumbersome to eat, making the lighter, more classic pies our favorites of the day.
Pairing these delicious pizzas with Cushwa’s cold brews made for a perfect afternoon. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a casual lunch.
Rad Pies is a fantastic addition to the Cushwa Brewing experience. Their innovative toppings and commitment to quality make each pizza a delightful exploration of flavor. For anyone looking for great pizza paired with equally great beer, this spot should definitely be on your list!
Rad pies is located inside Cushwa brewery and it’s such a great pair.. pizza and beer! Rad pies offers kiosk ordering located on the side and they have such an amazing selection of pies! My favorite was the 36th chamber! The balance of creaminess from the Burrata and the sweet heat from the hot honey pairs amazingly! The other one was a mushroom based pizza and also very delicious! Nice earthy flavors with the onions.
The in crust we trust was not my favorite. I’ve had Detroit style pizza in Detroit before and the concepts there but the lump of ricotta (which I love ricotta) was just too overwhelming… it would be better if it were spread out and you could get that bite with the rest of the pizza.
The service on the other hand is great! You place your offer via the kiosk and then when the order is ready they call it up by name. Super simple and flawless ! The total for the 3 pizzas maybe took 20-25 minutes. While you wait you can grab a beer and chill out. This location has both inside and outside seating and car fit larger parties !
We had the Rickeroni—pepperoni, hot honey, jalapeños, and ricotta …and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crisp, the ricotta added a creamy contrast, and the hot honey brought the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just craving next-level pizza, this spot delivers on both.
But we will not go back (I think).
I didn’t like the ordering system. I prefer humans over touch screens. You can request a printed receipt but don’t get one and if you choose email it auto enrolls you in promo emails.
When it’s ready they text you then put it on the counter. So no human interaction at all. Extremely impersonal (for me).
Not fond of the atmosphere for taking the family, sharing space with a brewery makes it less kid friendly, though not a problem otherwise.
But what REALLY turned me off was watching the kid eat pizza barehanded while placing the wax paper your food goes on in the boxes. GROSS! I truly watched him wipe his hand on his lips then pick up a paper and put it in someone’s box. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Right in the front window where you get your order. Chewing with his mouth open didn’t help.
I know one person shouldn’t break a restaurant. And Lord knows what goes on in any kitchen. But this was just nasty to watch, and ruined our meal.
It’s a shame, because their pizza really is top notch. Definitely the perfect food while enjoying craft beer from Cushwa.
