As other reviewer’s state, portion sizes are large. I ordered mixed vegetables with tofu and vegetable egg foo young. Both dishes were average, but good. The gravy for the egg foo young was thick, had an initial odd taste that I couldn’t put my finger on but quickly settled into a typical egg foo young gravy flavor. No major complaints on the food. My one complaint is that the prices shown on the website, aren’t even close to what I was charged at the register. Both dishes were almost $6 higher at the register than what is being advertised on their website. From other reviews stating how large the portions are versus how reasonable the prices are, I felt deceived as that was a primary reason for finally trying this place out.

There are few places like this left. Come here for breakfast. The plates are faded but the hashbrowns are crispy.
Come here hungry and take a booth, bring a twenty and you’ll have a ten left over. The coffee is warm and old fashioned so you can have a few cups and watch the weather. You’ll run out of biscuit before you run out of gravy and you won’t be asking for anything else by the end.
The people here are a community and accommodating if given respect and trust. They reflect exactly the kindness their laughing and loyal patrons show them.
There’s very little more American this.

Never again will we eat from this establishment. Lo Mein tasted like water logged spaghetti noodles, not even lo mein noodles, beef was solid grissel, also tasteless, a total of 4, yes 4 pieces of grated carrot and 3 mushy cabbage leaf pieces. Egg rolls were horrible and stuffed with literally a few shreds of cabbage and soggy in the middle. The orange chicken was practically ALL dough nearly no chicken. Portions have changed in the last year but still way too much of a bad thing, prices went up but the restaurant interior has seen absolutely NO improvements with the exception of stragecially placed rat traps out near front entrance The food quality is absolutely garbage but you get enough of it for multiple feedings if that’s important to you? Negative 4 for food, negative 3 for atmosphere. For an extra buck or 2 and a short drive to Mission/Ajo we will forever more patronize the Bamboo Terrace.

This restaurant has been in the same location for many years. I have gotten food from here since the early 2000’s. I have always gotten take out and never dined in. The food has always been amazing. I especially like the fried rice. The portions are large! The family that operates the restaurant is kind, courteous, and respectful.

Give you huge portions but it doesn’t taste like anything. Don’t like that we spent this much on tasteless food. Egg rolls were small like spring rolls. And they didn’t have duck sauce. Was shocked about that.

My husband picked up some take out from here yesterday and I just had to leave a review becasue the food was disgusting. The portions or huge but the sweet and sour “chicken” was only breading. There was a few strands of meat but it was pure fried breading. The rice tasted burnt and had no salt the only ok dish was the egg drop. Utterly disappointing and never coming back here. Prices online were not accurate either payed more for terrible food. Also the young man working there is terribly unprofessional and the restaurant was dingy and dirty!

I want to buy food for me and my wife to eat. Buy yourself in the car didn’t get with no spoons. No works, but one, but it’s 2 of us. No salt, no pepper, no monster. Only sort of the pancakes were as soggy as they’d been finished. It’s like date then printers, making them all the way. All the food is blocked except the hospital. That’s what I’m gonna give you a taste of it. I’m so disappointed. I don’t think I’ll eat there ever again

The pancakes were only cooked on one side, the eggs were runny with what liked like snot, the plate looked like it had burnt stuff on it. The waitress had the eggs redone, cooked the pancakes on both sides and brought a plate to show us the burnt stuff was decorative. The decoration chipped off and possibly could get one sick. Time for new plates, honestly. We have ordered thousands of dollars worth of take out over the years, but no more. It doesn’t appear that customers come first in this place. For the price they charge, you would think we could sit and have a meal that’s cooked right the first time. So we ate in bits.
Not going back.

Hands down the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had in 45 years. Pepper steak had some strange sauce that I’ve never seen before that I’m pretty sure was made with ketchup. No flavor at all. Ordered it spicy, got it regular, waiter asked if I wanted hot sauce lol. Then they took it back, scraped it off the plate, mixed sambal into it instead of refiring with chili flake, and put it back on the plate and served it to me. Chicken and snowpeas had so much cornstarch in it it had to be scraped off, had globs of gelatinous goo coating everything. I literally picked out the bland meat and left everything else. Absolutely terrible, even by Tucson standards. This place wouldn’t last a month anywhere else in the country.

This place never fails me. Great food reasonably priced and friendly staff. One of Tucson hidden gems. Love the way all their vegetables are always fresh and crisp. The only downfall is that their dining room is a little outdated.
