Good price but the lunch special was very spare, as in small size and not much in it and the crispy topping and sauce retracted from the rice and fish and I had to remove it. Also really don’t like a place which serves their food only in to-go containers. Very nice staff. Location, like everything in the area, is in a maze and difficult to find.

This place is in the skyways in Baker Center. There are only a couple of stools to sit on so this is more of a take out place. Ordering is quick and easy and the staff help you pick if you’re undecided. The rolls come out fast but fresh. Everything I’ve had there is absolutely delicious. And the price is very affordable compared to some sit down restaurants in the downtown area.

Small sushi restaurant near the skyway that was a bit difficult to find but I’m so glad we did! Super friendly staff and the portion sizes were generous and very reasonably priced. The fish was super fresh and delicious! I got the Winter Roll and Lava Roll and both were amazing! Will definitely come back next time I’m in town!

Takatsu has become one of my top 3 lunch places. It is loved by my coworkers and family, who look forward to when I can come home early and bring their favorites. You really cannot beat the Sushi Bowl Lunch Special and the curry is comfort food level of perfection. The food is good. It is quality. It is consistent. Not to mention it is very affordable. The people that work there are kind as well. Support your local skyway businesses!

This place is without a doubt the best Japanese cuisine I’ve ever had. The freshness and quality of their fish is exceptional, and all of their rolls are really affordable and generous portions! The great food doesn’t end at their sushi and oshizushi, though- they have excellent udon! The noodles are so chewy and the broth is always seasoned to perfection. Ever since I discovered this place a year ago, I’ve come here once (sometimes twice) a week EVERY week to get their udon. (In the picture is a bowl of their Curry Udon! Really really good!) The only reason why I’m able to get such crazy good food every week, even as a college student, is because their prices are super affordable! The icing on this amazingly delicious and affordable cake is the excellent and super fast service. This place seriously has it all! If you’re on the fence about trying this place, take my word for it and go. You’ll wish you tried this place sooner!

The food was really delicious and so cheap! I got the sushi bowl with salad instead of rice, and it was just over $7 after tax. Also, the line was super long, but their ordering system is ridiculously efficient. They have someone continuously ask people for their orders in line, and by the time you get to the register, your food’s ready! It took me like 5 minutes total to get my food from the time I got in the back of the line. Would definitely strongly recommend!

Love this place. The sushi bowl is consistent and flavorful, excellent portions for the price. Service is always quick and with a smile. Don’t miss this Skyway staple!!! Just beware that skyway suit customers are super oblivious. Watch your spot in line or they’ll try to walk all over you.
