Food was awful. Everything was sweet. Vegetable dinner was swimming in sauce. Portions were very small in comparison to other hibachi restaurants. Ginger dressing on the salad was chunky or gritty, I have never experienced a gritty ginger dressing. Staff was ok, I didn’t know who my server was because I had 3 people helping me. Also, there were gnats flying around the table. Never was a fan but decided to give it another try. Epic fail!

We had an egg allergy request on a kids meal and not only did the sweet hostess call me and verify what type of allergy we had, she also explained the items that have egg in them so we would be aware! Pros: the staff are very attentive and kind. The hibachi chef and waitress were very great at keeping all of our individual request addressed and noted.
Cons: the portion size for my $35 meal was very lackluster. The picture is of a scallop and fillet mignon meal with no noodles and double vegetable. For picture purposes, I did not eat anything from the plate. After inquiring, the chef confirmed 3 scallops are included with that dish. While the meal seemed to be very well cooked, the portion size was very underwhelming.
Overall, the other guests in my party did not request additional vegetables or seafood and received ample rice/ noodles and protein in their meal. They were very pleased with their portion size and truly enjoyed their meal. The restaurant seems to be a great find but if you prefer vegetables and seafood, you may walk away, desiring more.

Subject: Disappointing Experience with Shrimp Fried Rice
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the shrimp fried rice I received. It was, without a doubt, the worst I have ever had. The rice contained pieces of shrimp that had not been deveined, which is not acceptable. There were approximately 6 or 7 shrimp that were cut into small pieces, making the dish unappetizing.
When I called to voice my concerns, the response I received was, “I’m sorry, but this is how we make it.” Given this experience, I will not be dining at this restaurant again.
I have attached pictures to illustrate the poor quality of the food being served.

We not only had a wonderful meal but had a great time. Our server was amazing, comical and efficient! Our drinks never win empty, our orders were exactly what we wanted even with all the added details and requests. He did not miss anything.
There are very few restaurants that you see the manager standing watch in the dining room. He was very present and kind to his staff. We observed this manager make sure that every table was attended to promptly. Even doing things himself when necessary. That is the sign of a well-run restaurant & company.
Our cook was one of the best we’ve had. He took time to entertain us even when there was a crowd waiting and made our food exactly as we ordered it and it was delicious. The quality cut of meat for the filet mignon was out-of-this-world and the scallops were very big in size, we definitely got our. We took enough for another meal home, the portion sizes were very generous.
We had a young man who was celebrating his 10th birthday at our table and he had stepped out to the restroom. When our server came by with the drums and birthday treat he realized the young man wasn’t in his seat he quickly made a reverse and started backing out. As he was backing out he was saying “reverse reverse reverse, come back later. Come back later, come back later”. To the beat of the drum. It was very funny and really made it fun. I’ve been coming to konomi’s for several years and I’m never dissatisfied or disappointed.

Awful!!!! The food was awful! I walked into this Japanese place for the first time because I was next door at the Peach Cobbler Factory and I thought, while Im out here get something to eat. I saw Konomi walked in and immediately smelled a sour smell. My instincts told me to walk out, but I didnt! I ordered the salmon on the lunch menu and when I got home I was so disappointed. The fried rice was black and sticky, the salmon was burnt and dry and the veggies was not fresh. You could almost see that the broccoli was so limb, I dont think that I even tasted it when i tried the veggies!!! Anyways, never again! Your food is awful!!!
