Our lunch was very good at the Midnight Bear Bakery. The avocado sandwich was delicious and the turkey sandwich on sourdough bread was yummy. Why only a 4 rating? Would have loved purchasing the pastries that people raved over. I guess the other reviewers ate them all as nothing was left to buy!

Absolutely amazing baked goods! I would give 100 stars! The selection is impressive, and they sell out fast. Local fruit danish toppings, nutella cruffin, croissants, monkey bread, sourdough loaves, focaccia, cinnamon rolls, etc. They also have made to order items and coffee bar which we did not try.

Incredible bread, can’t believe there is a bakery of this quality on Kauai. Up there with the best in California. Macadamia nut cinnamon roll and locally grown iced green tea were delightful as well. If you love baked goods, this is a must visit ☺️

My first stop when I come to town. Amazing food! I get an iced quad espresso (large) with their homemade lavender and vanilla syrup with oat milk.

What a fabulous place! We liked everything we ordered. The mixed berry Danish was delicious. Also a big fan of the mac nut Cinnamon roll. The sour dough bread was amazing! Both of the sandwiches were delicious. Wish we would have gone earlier in the trip!

Midnight Bear’s new Lawai location is not to be missed. What used to be delicious is now an even better experience! The breads and pastries are still excellent, they have a breakfast and lunch menu (all items featuring their baked goods), and a coffee bar menu. My egg, cheese, bacon, tomato, and arugula breakfast sandwich was excellent- served hot and fresh in a reasonable amount of time (bonus is it’s made with organic eggs and local veggies). Plenty of open seating, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and plenty of parking.

Busy Cafe, the Espresso was good. We had some Danishes, Croissant and some bread for later. The bakery items were better than I expected, the Croissant was as good as any I’ve had at the best bakeries in Vancouver or Victoria and that’s saying something. This is the best place I’ve found on any of the Three islands I’ve been to.

A great way to start the morning. Wonderful bakery in town filled with original pastries and sandwiches. Tried the caprese sandwich based on recommendation and it did not disappoint. The pesto was unbelievably so good. We also got the macadamia nut cinnamon roll which had a sweet glaze filled with a crunchy nut filling. They had a breakfast menu as well and decided to try the salmon croissant. The croissant was nice and flaky, but felt that for the price more should have been added to it. Overall, would totally recommend!
