Copperwing Distillery is a fantastic place to visit. Its obscure location in a St. Louis Park warehouse neighborhood adds to its allure. Copperwing is a working distillery, and the bar is not embellished to whisk you away from that environment. I like that. Copperwing has a place of its own amongst the thousands of drinking holes in the Twin Cities. You’re imbibing in a distillery, but at a bar with a mixology and a bites menu. The cocktail list is interesting, and what I drank was delicious. I also drank shots of some of the different booze Copperwing produced. (It was a lot of liquor. The next two days were rough, and stupidly, we went to another distillery afterwards. I will never learn, and I’m 75 years old.) Liquor is like wine. We all have different tastes and palates. I liked one of Copperwing’s vodkas, but not the other. Several of their offerings have won national awards. That’s something everyone in Minneapolis can be proud of.
Jack was our bartender, and he was gracious and accommodating. I will return to Copperwing Distillery soon, but will drink with more wisdom, sticking to one kind of booze and will drink lots of water.

Expected a little more from a distillery than this. Ordered a couple Old Fashioneds, figured can’t mess this up since this is one of their signature mixes. First thing we noticed, the drinks were less than half of the glass. Next thing was they were filled with a bunch of ice. And this wasn’t even the one cube ice. Just regular ice (which dilutes the drink faster). Had to remove the ice because that’s just atrocious for a place like this to be doing this. Def not coming back. Had to go to another place for a second drink.

I went for the tour and tasting and stayed to sample some cocktails. The owner hosted my tour and his passion for his work was obvious. He shared interesting details of the process and the history behind the Copperwing brand and details of the steps behind developing their spirits. The cocktails and pizza I had were all phenomenal. I was really impressed with speedy service and welcoming attitude of the bartenders. I was also delighted by the selection of non-alcoholic cocktails that used the same premium ingredients as many of the spirit-based cocktails, but were clearly designed to be balanced to stand on their own.

Me and and my fiancé came here tonight looking to just get a quick drink after dinner- instead we stayed for a few drinks and lovely conversation and games. They have a lovely atmosphere and even better drinks! Their spirits were really great and their cocktails were pretty creative- without being weird. Mackenzie was fantastic! She told us she was new to the job, but the drinks she was making were expert level. I loved getting to talk with her and watch her make our drinks. I would come back just to get to talk with her more. Thanks for such a great experience!

Great selection of cocktails and amazing service. The cocktail menu is exhaustive. There’s something for everyone. The space is very cute. Our wait staff was amazing. I got the “rhymes with orange” drink and it was phenomenal. Not a big food menu but we got the warm pretzels and the mustard that came with it was delicious.

What a cool distillery! It’s so cute inside and had incredible drinks! Had the mule and the Celebration Mule and the Black Forest Manhattan. Loved them both! House made ginger beer makes me so happy. There was a food truck outside and Haggard Barrel Brewing nearby too to make it a nice little pub crawl.

Great distillery with friendly staff and fantastic cocktails. My friends and I ventured out to try this place and were impressed with each drink we ordered. Our bartender Daniel provided great recommendations and did a nice job making our cocktails. They don’t have food, but we brought in some cheeses and meats and made a charcuterie platter to complement what we were trying. I noticed some people doing a tour while we were there, would love to do this on our next visit, just reading in their website I could see this place has an interesting backstory. If you’re in the area I highly recommend stopping by!

Wide variety of cocktails, casual hang out vibe. We really enjoyed ourselves!! It was impressively busy in a Saturday night… good for them! Out of our two drinks, I’d recommend the martini over the gin and tonic, but the G&T was still great.
