We needed a quick bite to eat and a drink before attending a show at The Usher Hall. The staff were amazing, making sure our food and drinks order was taken quickly. The pizzas were really good and the atmosphere was friendly.
We will definitely be back.

There isn’t enough stars to give to this place! Pasquale and Franco were absolutely amazing, the food brilliant and what a wonderful atmosphere. We had pastas, pizza, starters and dessert and EVERYTHING was absolutely sublime. I recommend this place for fancy family dinners or romantic dates. I brought my Italian family in here and they were stunned by the hospitality as well as the great quality of any dish. Definitely gonna come back before they leave and probably gonna come back a lot more with friends or special occasions with my partner. I’m only sorry I don’t have any other photos of the food because it was too good and we couldn’t wait!

My boyfriend and I came on Saturday night, and we both walked out and agreed that was the best Italian restaurant we had both been to. The food was exceptional- we could tell how much care and expertise was put into the meals we had. The waiters, however, made the whole experience- they were very friendly and made us both feel very welcomed. All in all, 10/10 food and 10/10 service- we will be back!!

Very mixed experience. One female server was genuinely lovely — attentive, friendly, and fast. The house red was good and food arrived quickly, which is useful pre-theatre.
Unfortunately, the food is massively overpriced for the portion size and quality. £26 for boar ravioli got around six small pieces with barely any filling and low-quality mince. The clam linguine had a decent amount of pasta but very few clams, many of which were empty shells.
The male waiting staff were unfriendly and oddly judgemental. When Parmesan was requested for the linguine, the waiter questioned it twice before saying he’d “allow” one spoonful. For this price point, that attitude is unacceptable.
Two small mains and two large glasses of wine came to just under £60 — we left hungry and had to buy food elsewhere. Would not return.
Pizzas looked much better value, so if you’re eating here before a show at the Lyceum, stick to those and avoid the pasta.

We went there on Saturday evening after the Calcutta cup rugby game. Lovely authentic Italian restaurant with really welcoming atmosphere- the staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in hearing about the game. We ordered pizzas and it was an authentic Italian experience from the first bite. The dough was the real star — light, fluffy, slightly tangy, and baked to perfection with a crisp blistered crusts. The ingredients were simple but incredibly flavourful, just how traditional pizza should be. Service was very quick and we plan on going back next time we are in Edinburgh.

Went in for a pre-theatre dinner last night and it was brilliant! lovely welcome and service from all the staff on, and the food was absolutely delicious. fresh pasta, delicious garlic cheese bread and a well stocked bar. If you’re seeing something at the Lyceum/Usher Hall/Traverse/Filmhouse definitely consider coming here. Always good to support a local business over a chain and the prices here are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get.

A very nice , small and friendly Italian restaurant, without being exceptional.
I had the croquettes to start, which were very nice, but unfortunately were Luke warm.
The risotto was tasty and a good sized portion.
The service was friendly and without delay.

Travelled up from Newcastle for our son’s birthday last weekend and found this by overhearing a conversation in the scale model shop next door (one of the best in the UK). Pleased we did as we were warmly welcomed, the food was excellent and the service brilliant. Only problem was the buyer’s remorse I felt when I saw my son’s pizza but all the food was great, and the Tiramisu I had was possibly the best I’ve had, sensational

A very picturesque little place, run by incredibly kind and welcoming people. The pizza is absolutely delicious, with a crust that is perfectly crisp and full of flavor. And the tiramisu… it’s so heavenly it practically melts on your tongue, pure bliss. Highly recommended!

Average food, my Putanesca was with wrong kind of pasta and without anchovies, not hot enough. We had a Christmas staff party but were pushed out after 2 hours, the plates were just snatched from us. Not good experience
