This place is absolutely amazing. Great food, the little boy is witty and funny. They even added flowers and decoration that were really cute. All the bad reviews are clearly people just looking to complain for nothing. Long Feng is really REALLY good.

Let’s start with the food. We dined in and were blown away by the incredible sushi—the best in the area, especially considering Round Lake’s usual fare of hamburgers and fried food. The crab rangoons were out of this world, and the miso soup was delicious, though not served hot. The house Japanese salad was cold, wet, and delicious, the dressing was fantastic, but sparse. Despite these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The chef is fantastic, and the menu is plentiful for a Chinese/Japanese themed restaurant. They offer an all you can eat Chinese/Japanese menu, but it is expensive for the area at around $32 per person. The staff is also experienced. However, the dining room is very small and split in half with a gaming area, which is unfortunately a major attraction in the Round Lake area. The restaurant is due for a significant redesign update.
The food presentation was absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. The sushi was expertly prepared and the cuts of sushi were high-grade. We highly recommend dining in. If this restaurant can increase revenue, they should invest in more staff and remove the gaming area. Focus on the exceptional food, as it’s the main draw here. I understand why people complain about their food when ordering out for delivery, it seems like the restaurant may be prioritizing dining room customers over delivery orders. also, this type of food is best served piping hot.
We did not experience any problems with the food, and will definitely return to dine in.
Investors may be a great opportunity ???

amazing food and prices, went in on a sunday night and was greeted by a very pleasant family ambiance, staff was absolutely delightful and helpful, we ordered two simple sushi’s and the staff arranged them in a beautiful display, unprompted and incredibly kind full. 10/10 will come back

This place used to be my go to in the area, but I feel like it has really gone downhill. The size of the sauce for the sweet and sour chicken is way smaller than it used to be. And I’m pretty sure they have been using minute rice. The taste and smell on the white rice is way off and they don’t even fill the containers anymore. The taste of the food was really changed as well. We got some chicken fried rice tonight that smelled and tasted like a bacon burger. Super strange. I really don’t think I’ll be coming to eat here anymore unfortunately.

Only review you need. Have lived in Round Lake for over ten years. This is hands down the best Chinese food in the area. Quality is always great. Love the packaging. Best ginger salad you can get. Sometimes chicken isn’t as crispy or rice is soggy but overall this place is a 10 most of the time. The Kung Po is the best but I wish it was spicier. Swear by this place and will only order from here while I live in Round Lake.

Absolutely horrible food. Four pieces of meat for a large portion filled with sauce and onions up to the edge. Ordered 50 dollars worth of food and maybe feeds two but won’t trust it again. I have four people in my house. Will never order here again. Taste of the food was not that great but to spend that much money and get left with a bunch of sodium filled sauce and some onions with some white rice then I suppose you will love it but probably not. Much better Chinese restaurants in Lake County, but not close to round Lake Beach. Won’t be going here ever again and I recommend you find a different Chinese restaurant

Don’t want to cook today? Order from your local Round Lake area! Great food and they even call to make sure your order is right before cooking it. ( dont confuse low mien and chow mien) Ordered food there for 5 years now complaints.

This was the best chinese food I have ever had. Down to the beef, fried rice, crab rangoons, egg rolls, beef and snow peas and sweet and sour chicken. They give you large quantities especially the size of the chicken tenders that come with the sweet and sour chicken and crab rangoons. Plus they package very well. Can’t wait to eat my leftovers. This spot is my new go to for Chinese.

Went there this past Friday night for dinner. There was a gentleman at the register picking up an order, he handed his CC to the lil man(maybe 12 yrs old?) who proceeded to tell the gentleman it would be an extra $1.00 bc he was using his CC. Not a deal breaker but that should be something that is noted prior to any order as this man was surprised, just my personal opinion. No one appreciates surprises of additional monies. I understand the cost of things going up. Maybe incorporate it in the prices??
Anyway we were seated at a table by the back exit door. It was VERY cold, we never took our jackets off. There was one other table occupied by a young couple who left shortly after we got there, otherwise there were no other patrons sitting here for dinner. Obviously we were like….hmmmmm in a Friday night for dinner and no one around. I usually read reviews but honestly did not have time before. The little man came to take our drink order(don’t think I could have ordered alcohol from him), I had water and the hubby a coke. Both came from their fountain area, husband said the coke was horrible and not able to drink it. My water tasted horrible! Definitely bad well water, disgusting! Hubby got up and got himself a can of coke and a bottle of water for me. They should have offered that from the beginning. There was a nice gal that came to take our order. She seemed like she was in a hurry, not rude to us but like she had a million things to do. We ordered fried Potstickers and a couple of shrimp egg rolls both of which were definitely Air Fried and Obviously NOT homemade. I know the difference. These were disappointing, I could not finish them. For the main meals I ordered a small Moo goo gai pan and hubby ordered Sesame Chicken. I will say my meal had a decent flavor, was very salty(probably one of the reasons the chicken was so tender lol) and hubby said his Sesame Chicken was pretty good. The portions were good, we both had leftovers. I can say I highly doubt we would go back again. The place itself was not put together clean when you walked in and it smelled like fish. Whenever there is a heavy odor of fish I get totally turned off. Nothing can be good about that… that whiff opening a restaurant door can never be a good sign. Their Menu has way too many choices. Chef Ramsey would give then some advice on that. The more I see and little to no patrons the more I wonder how long their food is sitting and how they are cooking/preparing all these dishes. I wish them luck, I think they will need it. As another review said, this place does have potential. I personally will not wait before I try another place.
