My now-husband and I did our rehearsal dinner at East-West Bistro, as my husband’s family is originally from southern China and we were looking for Cantonese-style dishes for our banquet-style rehearsal dinner. We were THRILLED with how well everything turned out. All of the dishes were delicious, and there was so much food! All of our guests raved about the food, both Chinese and non-Chinese alike. It was extremely meaningful for us to have this authentic experience, particularly for my husband and his family, and we’re so happy that we were able to have that at Jessica Zheng’s amazing establishment. Also, the mai tais are amazing!

This review only pertains to carry out : We tried this place 2-3 times the last few months. We always get the combination dinners. We had 3 different combination main dishes and all very good. Along with the soups. We had the won ton and hot and sour. Both great. Just a warning on the egg rolls. They were not good and they had a very odd taste. Like they were the frozen factory produced type. We got the spring rolls instead and they are 100% better.
We picked the meals up ourselves and they were piping hot when we got home. You will only wait 15 -20 minutes if you phone in your order. We never tried ordering online.
We never dined inside but we may try it soon. In general, this appears to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Northern Anne Arundel County.

It’s so delicious! I ordered a veggie soup and a sushi roll. I stopped in the middle of my meal to leave a review. So you can imagine how delicious the food must’ve been.
Thank you so much for such an incredible soup. Compliments to the chef. I placed my order on uber eats and the soup was still warm when it arrived.

My wife and I love this restaurant! Food is so fresh and tastes amazing! Take out, Dine In..it doesn’t matter. The staff are super nice, sweet, and friendly. They are very personable and remember us everytime we stop in. My wife has a gluten allergy as wellas being allergic to seafood. They always cook her food without cross contamination. I do not have an allergy and love to try all the new sushi rolls. We always look forward to dining in and the drinks they serve are very tasty.

This review is solely based on their NYE dinner. We did have reservations. The place was packed, only two waitresses and when they came to take the order, it felt more like one of those speed dating shows. They offer a free glass of champagne, but instead of bringing it while you’re having your meal, it’s just random, so after sitting for an hour and waiting to pay your check, people who’ve just been seated get champagne, but some who’ve been in the restaurant well over an hour, well, sorry for your luck. When the waitress finally comes to the table you’re lucky to ask for a refill, bc she drops napkins off and starts to bolt before you’re able to ask. The couple next to us left after waiting over an hour for their food, then the woman clearing the table asked us if they left and looked mad when we told her yes.

The food is completely different than any other Chinese food I have ever eaten. Hard to explain it….. We wanted to do something simple and easy for everyone’s food this Christmas. Flavor lacking, sauce was bland, and the shrimp-well they had a bit of a smell. It was not worth the $200 and I really don’t care how much it cost it give me something I can down. 7 of our 9 person group did not like the food. I have no idea how this is a 4.5 review restaurant.

This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant! Everything was absolutely amazing! From the food, the service, atmosphere, absolutely everything! This is some of the best Chinese food and sushi I’ve ever had. I was here with my girlfriend, and we don’t live around this area (45min-1hour away). We were up for other things, and we like to go to random restaurants we’ve never been to before, and we decided to choose this one. Do not regret it at all! We love to try Chinese, Japanese, Asian in general restaurants, and sushi places. Everything was plated beautifully, especially the sushi! I cannot recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be going back! Our sever Yan was also absolutely amazing! Our best waitress we’ve ever had, ever!! In my pictures are two of their new sushi rolls, the oishi (tasty) roll, and the pink lady roll. The soup is the hot and sour soup. I was a little too hungry and started eating my food before I took a picture, but it was all very amazing!!

Long story but needs told. Our store had this restaurant cater our Christmas dinner & when I saw the shrimp fried rice i had to have it ! The shrimp was ” super large” & omg I couldn’t get enough it was the best ever! So last week I went therec& ordered ( 2 ) large take put containers of the shrimp fried rice because not only did I crave it but I wanted to take a large pint home to my husband who craves about a Chinese place in olde mill & i told him about the size of the shrimp & taste so he said ok I will try
It! I paid almost $30 & took it home for our dinner! When I opened my portion I was so disappointed cause the shrimp was not the large shrimp we has at our catered party in fact the shrimp was about the size of a penny !!!! I apologized to my husband & told him I didn’t know why it wasn’t the same shrimp
Ok pay attention, so it still tasted yummy however, the following day I had ” EXSPOLIVE DIARRHEA!!!! I MEAN it was so bad I literally lost a day of work & destroyed a pair of pants!!! Now I don’t know what “country” or sewer that shrimp came from but I WILL NEVER,EVER order anything from them again. I STILL HAVE alot left in my refrigerator & seriously thinking of taking it to the health department to be checked out because I have a ” viral” infection i believe in my belly at least that’s the symptoms I have been experiencing! So sad

Food is very good. Big menu and all the tastes vary based on protein and sauces used. The soups are excellent as well as the sushi. The sushi is all fresh and made to order. Recently the restaurant remodeled and I noticed last visit it is quite loud so sometimes having a conversation at the table is a challenge. The service is decent, sometimes a tad slow but overall can’t complain. I have been going to this eatery for many years. It improves all the time and is one of the best Asian eateries in the Baltimore/Annapolis area
