The food item took a bit longer to come out. Not an emergency as I had planned out my morning with time. He was pretty slammed with warming food up.
And, the upstairs is a cool place. I think the roof garden is cool!! And during the summer will give a better view.
First thing wrong was the rude deadpan demeanor at the register when ordering. I ordered one half-caff grande size coffee with a berry bundle. I clarified I wanted the berry bar not the muffin. I asked her to come over to the showcase so I could show her what I wanted and she replied, she couldn’t leave the register. I asked can you get someone to help here, nope all are busy working with other customers. There was the two of us in inside and the drive through outside. Really?
2nd rudeness/unfriendly was when I ask how much was the gift card for as it didn’t say and her response was I don’t know whatever it rings up. It wasn’t so much what she said as much as how she said it with her continued lack-luster and no “customer commitment” demeanor.
The saga continues, after all the stupidness of having to say the words Berry Blondie, the Berry Blondie didn’t get pulled out of the dessert show case. We get our coffee and it was just fine, but but no Berry Blondie. How hard is it to pull it out of the showcase put it with the coffee? Now more waiting. I point and tell her we will be sitting outside waiting, Finally, I go back inside and there it is sitting on the counter but no announcement of my name.
It seems the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I ask one of the employees for the manager to come speak to me. Low and behold she’s the manager. I explained the issues and how she just dismissed me but she just kept interrupting, I asked her to please let me finish, she stopped. Then again interrupted, then again interrupted a third time. She then says thank you for making me feel bad about myself. Now I have to ask you to leave. Really? I was trying to speak lower so not to interrupt things. Gladly will I leave and never be back to Starbucks.
I told Katie that we had been waiting for over 20 minutes and wanted to make sure our order didn’t get lost in translation. She proceeded to tell me they were just super busy and backed up and our order will be out shortly. She was no help at all.
We waited another 10 minutes until we asked another employee named Sam. We asked Sam if our order had been lost, as we had been waiting for over 20 minutes. Again, we were given a super generic response. He proceeded to tell me they were just super busy and backed up and our order will be out shortly. At this point I was ready to walk out. Why didn’t any of these employees actually look into our order to see what was going on?
Finally, Sam put two braincells together and walked over with his tablet to tell us that we had been waiting for over 27 minutes (tried to tell you that), and it looks like someone had closed out our order without actually making it for us.
I do not recommend this Starbucks. The employees here are super dismissive, and it felt like they cared more about online orders and drive thru than the in-person customers. What a bummer because their upstairs seating is so nice. Horrible customer service
New rain barrels were being installed outside. Got my Red Cup and coffee on this morning where a day earlier got a Green one too for my yearly collection. They don’t have any Holiday Teddy Bears or gingerbread houses for perhaps either not arrived yet or available at a different location.
September 2023:
This location generally has quick service but there are times takes a while to get your order from either using the app or in person. I always avoid the drive thru where it always has a line that does not move. The foods options have always been good and have my favorites.
Today was a bit busy in the drive thru (not surprised) but in side was not, butt looked understaffed. It took a while for my order to be ready. My iced green tea was refreshing and the chocolate croissant was great. As it looked understaffed they baristas were doing an excellent job.
November 2022:
After I made my order using the Starbucks App my order was ready quickly. Friendly baristas and the Snowman Cookie was delicious with one of my favorite drinks, Strawberry Açaí.
