We ate here a few weeks ago, my wife and I were doing some shopping in Rutland and decided to pop by, as we saw their new menu and pictures on FB.
I think their completion is leaving negative reviews so I decided to share. I’ve seen this type of behavior recently going on and it’s unacceptable.
The food was really good and the portions were excellent. The service was spot on. We will be returning with our whole family. Atmosphere is what you would expect for a small town pizza joint. But even that has been improved.
P.S. I tried Ted’s five years ago on my own and another time at my clients home on a sales call, was not impressed. For me, I decided to give them another chance after learning of the new owner and seeing fresh photos. I was pleasantly surprised, new ownership has stepped Ted’s up significantly!

I walked into the place and was immediately hit by the sweet smell of tomato sauce and gentle tunes from the 50’s… I knew at that point I was in the right spot.
I decided to sit down to enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and see how this dinner shook out. Within a few minutes a guy came out from the kitchen and asked if I liked beer… Or course I said yes and he points to the cooler. They have the grail of Vermont beers ready to go, Heady Topper & Switchback!!!! Ice cold and cheapest ive seen in a long time.
I go ahead and order “The Pizza everyone usually gets here” Its my go to order wherever I go and almost always turns out good. Shortly later I was blessed by a pizza sliced in little stripes and a thin crispy crust. Sauce was sweet, cheese was cheesy and real (not the Domino’s bs that melts weird).
At this point im 30 minutes into my meal. Nonstop people walking in and picking up thier orders. Two thirds of the people were greeted by name walking in, the others left with a smile.
I did a bit of digging and this turns out to be a family owned business, they make everything from scratch and they are just cool people. Super happy I came.
I saw some of the lower star reviews and cant agree with them. I short interaction or a one off doesn’t justify how awesome this is and hopefully folks arent deleted by them. You want a great pizza in great atmosphere around cool people, you go to Teds.

After my fifth bad experience with Ted’s I thought I’d post publicly. They’ve always been a couple minutes past their intended pickup time but today they were 25 minutes past with no explanation besides a thanks for waiting. When I returned with the pizzas (not even 2 miles down the road from Ted’s) they were lukewarm and had clearly been out of the oven for some time. Cold pizza always loses some flavor but these had almost no flavor and they forgot some of the ingredients on the specialty pizza we ordered. It’s a sad day when you would recommend Little C’s over a local historical pizza joint. It’s clear the new ownership does take pride in what they do.

Wow!!! New owners of this establishment are doing just amazing!!! The pizza is flaky, crispy and the flavors were absolutely delicious, the bottom is cooked to perfection….i forgot to take the pics of the full pizza cause it smelled so delicious i just wanted to dig in, god bless you guys!! Great food and great people, thanks Teds!!! The White Tomato is a must have!!!!

Experts on making orders take forever!!!! Hurry up. Before people realize they can get a frozen pizza from the grocery store that tastes pretty close to the frozen cardboard flavors going on here.

This is the first time I have gotten food from here since the new owners. I have tried to call and order multiple times and either get put on hold and never answered again, or the phone is just never answered. I have not tried to pizza yet since the new owners. But i got the vodka sauce and it was the worst vodka sauce ive ever had in my life. All it tasted like was a bunch of cooked tomatoes blended up. My son got the spaghetti and liked it though…..
