While I was there 3 other customers were also having issues with their orders being mixed up too. When we were trying to figure out whose sandwich was which (nothing labeled) the counter person told us to taste it. What a joke of a place.
Head to Pino’s instead!
New! More ways to react to reviews.
I appreciate that you remembered the order and the interaction, but I want to clarify what actually occurred and why it left such a negative impression.
During pickup, your staff told both myself and another customer that we should taste our food to determine whether it was correct. That response was honestly shocking. Asking customers to identify their own orders by tasting them is not an acceptable or reasonable solution. It reflects a lack of training and puts both customers and employees in an uncomfortable position. New employees should not be put on the front line without adequate preparation or support, as this directly impacts service quality, employee confidence, and customer experience.
I also want to be clear that I did not curse at your employees. I did use a curse word once after being told to check the food myself, and a second time as I was leaving. That second instance occurred after an employee told me he would get the manager, only for me to overhear someone—who I assume was you—say, “Tell him to look at his receipt!” The condescending tone and dismissive manner in which this was said escalated the situation unnecessarily.
For context, this interaction occurred at approximately 4:17 PM, which was already 17 minutes past the scheduled pickup time. At that point, I would have had to wait even longer to speak with you directly. My concern was not about receiving an extra sandwich—it was about receiving the correct order. When I checked the bag, one sandwich was hot and one was cold. I simply asked whether there was possibly a third cold Italian sandwich rather than a hot hoagie.
Unfortunately, based on this experience and the way it was handled, I will not be returning to your establishment. I will also be sharing my experience with friends and family, as there are other local businesses that provide friendlier service, stronger management, and better overall quality and value.
The atmosphere is mid at best. The electronic overhead menu was broken so we had to order with paper menus that had “do not take” written all over them.
We ordered mozzarella wedges, sweet potato fries, and a cheesesteak on the seeded coll with wiz and onions.
Ill give credit where its due the sweet potato fries were amazing! However the bland mozzarella wedges were very bland and disappointing.
My cheesesteak was very imbalanced close to a 50/50 ratios of meat to onions. Normally not the end of the world except the onions were basically raw. The cheese sauce was not the normal consistency and seemed wattered down a bit.
The only saving grace was the roll was wonderful.
We spent a bit over $60 for 2 people having 2 small apps, 2 steaks, and 2 sodas.
They have a customer accessible Jukebox, some TVs, and a comfortable atmosphere.
Absolutely LOVE the Truffle burger. (With an additional type of cheese and bacon) Its all I get from here now on the special days that I can.
She ordered a kids cheesesteak and truffle parm fries. They charged 75¢ for mayo, which felt excessive. The fountain soda machine wasn’t working at all and was just taped off as “out of order.”
We were the only people there, yet her fries came out plain instead of truffle parm. They fixed it after about five minutes. She also asked for her roll toasted — it came out extremely hard, almost like a crouton.
I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and the western smash burger. The egg rolls were two rolls cut in half to look like four pieces. At $6 each, I expected a little more, maybe some dipping sauce included. The burger had very little flavor and the onion rings were cold.
Total was $50.06 for two people. For that price, I expected better quality and attention to detail. Disappointing overall.
One bite in and I seriously considered canceling my plans for the day just to sit there and reflect on how good life can be.
I even briefly considered ordering a second one “for later” and then realized I’d immediately eat it anyway. If happiness had a flavor, it would taste exactly like a wiz cheesesteak from Philly Philly.
sal is super friendly and knows what he’s doing, highly recommend
