The Meadows Original Frozen Custard got its start in the summer of 1950 when JV, Richard and Delbert Meadows opened a small custard stand in Duncansville, PA.

Quick service and very delicious ice cream.
Camping nearby and it was raining hard. Needed something to do while we let the rain go by for the kids. Found this frozen custards place and glad we came.

Wow….I am truly blown away…..excellent quality ice cream desserts. Got 3 small cones and they were huge… omg and so yummy. Visiting the town of Huntingdon – weather was at above 90 degrees and saw this ice cream shop driving by … so glad I went in. Lady serving us was pliant and pleasant. Very clean also.

Fabulous custard. Only 3 varieties in a plain cone or milk shake but they rotate them so it depends on the day what options you have other than vanilla. They also have multiple other options in toppings and swirls and malts as well as shakes. There is limited seating inside but they have tables outside and most shoppers do seem to be “to go”. Place is very clean.

I came out this evening August 19th at 8:30 p.m with my 4-year-old son who was nothing more than excited to get ice cream. When I went to the window there was someone in front of me ice cream and another person inside that was now being waited on. I saw a girl who I found out her name was Olivia running like crazy trying to help the customers. All the while she had three other staff members present that were completely ignoring it not only myself waiting but eight people behind me. I understand it’s close to closing time and they are teenage girls and want to be done for the night I really do. But regardless they where going to have to wait on what customers where there to be able to close. The one girl just walked around doing nothing that I saw for the ten min I waited before Olivia had finished with the other group before being so kind to apologize for my wait and then take my order. Olivia deserves a raise or award just something to show appreciation to her work ethic. The other girls need a write up at the very least for their actions. Olivia thank you sweetheart for being kind and going above and beyond!!

Toured Juniata with my sibling and we stopped here on the last night. Fun custards of the day! I got fluffier butter with strawberry ice and sibling got mango ice I think. Yummy and good prices. Both small items were $3.63 each.

We were camping in Raystown and decided to meet some family here for a quick visit. My banana strawberry smoothie was really good. My daughter ordered something but it came out as a banana split. I think it was a cherry split she ordered maybe. I don’t know. However she didn’t want us to say anything because the banana split was really good…haha. All in all I would definitely stop here again and try something else from their very extensive menu.
