Ordered the gnocchi through Uber Eats, it was not edible. The gnocchi was straight dough and the Alfredo sauce was more a soup than a sauce. Will never order from here again.

Don Rigatoni is the BEST Italian food in Tampa hands down! You can tell everything is super fresh and made with love… the pasta is INCREDIBLE! I always recommend this gem of a spot to everyone in town. 100/10 would recommend over any other place around!

Me and my wife were searching for food within walking distance of Hyde Park. We saw this hole in the wall on the maps. We did not realize it was takeout only so watch out. Since we walked there we just walked back and found a table in the park. Their Spinach Gnocchi is INCREDIBLE. If you love cheesy and creamy then this place will satisfy any cheese freaks craving no matter how severe. They do not skimp out. Huge portions. Fresh pasta. Extra cheesy. With great service for if you want to modify or add whatever you like. Best pasta in the area.

I had such a great experience at Don Rigatoni! The manager took the time to explain everything to me from the story behind the restaurant to the desserts and you could really tell how much passion goes into what they do. The owner was incredibly helpful when it came to ordering and was so personable and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everyone who worked there was kind and attentive. And the food? Absolutely amazing chef’s kiss! I’ll definitely be coming back!

The cheese ravioli and Alfredo one New York stat cheesecake that came out to $51 the ravioli was more water than ravioli the noodles were cold and plain little leg ramen noodles and the cheesecake was $10 was the worst food I ever ordered through Uber eats. Prison food is better than this place Don’t do it!

Some of the best Italian food in the Tampa Bay area! The linguini bolognese with the breaded chicken was particularly delicious. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners Almy and Zach, and they are wonderful people 🙂 If you’re in the area this is a must try!!

Don Rigatoni is clearly chef-driven, and it shows in every bite. The pasta is cooked properly, the sauces are balanced and flavorful, and each dish feels intentional. You can tell the chef understands Italian fundamentals and cares about technique, quality ingredients, and execution — rare for a fast-casual spot. Excellent comfort food done right, with consistency and real culinary skill behind it.
Highly recommended!

I have had a few great experiences so far. An interesting thing about certain regions of Italy is the bolognese is hand cut and can include some odd shapes and cuts of meat. I have tried Massimo’ s masterclass Michelin Star recipe and it was not what I preferred.
I will say that I agree on the bold choice of prepackaged dressings. I would love to see a homemade olive and caper lemon aioli for the empanadas. A green goddess, ranch, and blue cheese as well.
I also would had that I believe your pasta water has been over salted which can affect the sauce. We need the water in the sauce but either less or maybe a tighter measurement there.
These guys are good and everyone is a critic these days

I feel bad to write this because the ppl who work there are really nice but honestly do NOTTTTT eat here I wasted $60! I should have listened to the other reviews. It’s WORSE than store bought sauce, it’s watery and terrible taste, just do not do it and listen to me. Management if you are seeing this take it as constructive criticism and please change your ingredients or something

Revised Review
I hate to leave this type of review, but the Spaghetti Bolognese completely missed the mark for me. The flavor reminded me more of a canned or ready-to-eat version rather than something freshly made, and it unfortunately didn’t resemble what I would consider an authentic Italian Bolognese. It was a major disappointment.
That said, I truly appreciate the owner reaching out so thoughtfully after my review. Their willingness to explain that the sauce is made in-house from a family recipe—and to offer a refund, a replacement meal, and even a tour of their kitchen—shows a level of care and hospitality that deserves recognition. Customer service like that is rare, and I respect the effort to make things right.
If you’re looking for a classic, hearty Bolognese, I’d still recommend trying places like Olivia or Trattoria Pasquale for comparison. But given the owner’s response, I’m open to giving Don’s another try in the future.
