I grew up coming to this restaurant, but for the past couple of years, I’ve been favoring other local Chinese restaurants. Today I returned, to get a large chicken noodle soup, to last me since I’ve been ill, and I deeply regret it. The container was stuffed with noodles so there was barely any broth. The broth that was there was completely flavorless. I like Chinese soup because of the simple ingredients but this just tasted like hot water.

I come here every time I return to NJ because I’ve never found any other place that can do General Tso’s with pork fried rice better than Hunan Wok. Been my family, friends’ and my go-to even though it’s across town from me. Customer service and atmosphere I think is pretty straightforward, no fancy frills but the food make up for it by a long shot

Highly recommend trying their wings. Seasoned really well & crispy. Obviously staff and “atmosphere” are exactly what you expect from a NJ Chinese spot- at the end of the day, as long as the food is good, I’m happy.

After coming here for the past 25 years – This place refused my order tonight – I called at 1019pm and the worker stated they were. Closing early 1030 due to snow . I passed the place and they were still open . I will never go back . customer service is terrible ! Find another spot to go to

Zero stars but we all know that’s not an option. They messed up one of our orders and we could not get it fixed because they closed. I go today to let them know they messed up the one order. The guy offered to replace it but we were already over it, the food is not that great to be eating it 2 days in a row. This is where you order when everything else is closing or fast food is not an option. The guy was being nice about it at first but when I came back with the order for a refund (it was tossed so contents spilled out) he said he couldn’t do anything about it because it’s not full. lmao. Of course it’s not it was tossed out. I even asked him facetiously if he wanted me to bring the garbage bag & he said yes. Pure jokes. Then again, what do you expect from people who don’t even wash their hands as they eat, answer phones, and cook? I witnessed this as I was there today talking to him. The chicken & broccoli here is absolutely disgusting. I stopped ordering that years ago. We only order shrimp & broccoli from here. He was completely unprofessional & incompetent. $40 wasted when he could’ve just refunded me the $15-$17 for the wrong order. He said we said the wrong thing, we know what we said. They messed it up. We always get the order right. They most likely gave us someone else’s order that they didn’t want or messed up and didn’t want to throw it out so they gave it to us. Just gross & can’t believe I ate from here. Will never be eating here again.

Just came back to try my old neighborhood spot been going here since I was 7. The wings were always my favorite and as always THEYRE STILL THE BEST AROUND, was scared to come back because I hurd a lot of mixed reviews about it but honestly my experience was great. Wings 10/10 golden brown, crispy, juicy. The young guy they’re was super cool. Will definitely be coming back now.
