Update – clean and tidy Panera. Staff were kind and fast. Had a good lunch split with my husband. Did the “Pick 2” with a chicken frontega sandwich and a tomato soup with a baguette and a candy cookie.
Very nice, clean Panera. Friendly staff. A nice place for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee. Love coming here for lunch before going grocery shopping.

I came in for a loaf of bread on Oct 31 around 4 pm. The girl got the bread and cut it down the middle the put it in the bread slicer. Now it was a bunch of half of bread pieces. She tried to get it in the bread bag, but that didn’t go well. She finally got it into the bag but now it was a bag of bread halves thrown into a bag. She tried to give it to me it, but I refused and told her to get me another loaf and not to slices it. Someone need to teach her how to handle the bread loafs. I never seen anyone cut a loaf of bread down the middle then try to slice and bag it. They couldn’t understand why I was upset and refused the bag of bread pieces. It looked like a bag of bread scrapes to take out to the barn animals.

LAZY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I generally stop at the Panera in Solon on my way to work and they are pretty consistent. During football Sunday, my wife asked me to go to Panera to get her a whole seared Steak and Arugala sandwich.
Since we live in Chagrin Falls, the ten minute drive is closer. There were very few patrons and at least 4-5 Panera employees working. Upon returning home with the one order that the Panera employees had to concentrate on, my wife took two or three bites and said, ” I do not think there is any steak in this sandwich.” She was correct, no steak in the steak sandwich. Lucky me had to return and waste another trip to the vacant Panera.
Upon giving the sandwich back, I noticed that the employee just plopped what looked like a shaved roast beef clump rather than seared steak on the same remaining sandwich. The manager and the employee did not even make an effort to: 1. Make a brand new sandwich 2. lay the meat so that it would cover the bread. or 3. Apologize. Below is the second half of the $10.00 sandwich. Yum doesn’t it look appetizing?

Customer Service is horrible. I have a tree nut allergy and the girl that made my food was complaining about how much she hates allergens and then said “oh I have a tree nut allergy but I want mac and cheese.” I was literally standing right in front of her when she said it all and a manager was right next to her and never said a single thing to her. I understand that allergens make it more work to make the food but I had no problem waiting and I did not ask to have this allergy. As someone who used to work in the food industry it’s very unprofessional to talk that way in front of customers.

Got the Greek Chicken Salad and loved every bite. The temperature was 73° outside and 76° inside. Not sure what was happening there, but the lettuce was crisp and the chicken was cooked. Subbed an apple for the baguette. Good choice. That apple was on point. Took a few napkins at the end because you want to have a few in the car. Just in case.

Whoever the manager is here just needs to pipe down. Constantly loud. Bathroom absolutely horrendous. Thought I was in a trucker has station bathroom.
