We ordered the Philly cheesesteak eggroll the fish hoagie chicken tenders with french fries fries and onion rings. It was honestly the best food that we ate all week coming from ocraCoke Island. The sweet tea was amazing and the personality of the staff were even better 10 out of 10. Recommend everyone stop at this hidden gem!!!

The food was delicious. It was the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich which was also delicious. Most seating is outside, which was great because it was sunny & 70, even though our visit was in early November. We will definitely be back. It’s only a few minutes off highway 64. It was well worth the few extra minutes we added to our trip.

Barnyard Betsy Cheeseteaks and Hoagies is exactly how you would picture it. You are first greeted withoverflowing flowers beds and the most adorable quaint and charming front porch. But it’s the heavenly smells that truly welcome you in as you enter. The woman behind the counter called a warm hello to us as stepped inside. I could barely contain my excitement, I was starving and I had been reading their Facebook page for the last twenty minutes of our drive. They let us know the special for today was an eclectic spread of appetizers including a chicken bacon ranch wrap, mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp, and if I’m not mistaken onion rings. Of course we had to try the cheese steaks!! I can’t say enough amazing things about the incredible service and smells… I’ll have to update on the food as soon as we get our order!

First thing out was the sampler platter and right from the start you could tell the shrimp were hand battered, my husband said the chicken bacon ranch was incredible, meanwhile I devoured half his onion rings and more shrimp than I care to publicly admit, especially since I ordered a cheese steaks and not the platter I was devouring. We also had ordered the cheese steak egg rolls, my husband has continued taking bites even after claiming he is beyond stuffed. I swear everything was better than the last thing we tried.
Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Great food and some of the best small town service you could ever ask to find!! We will absolutely be back…but I’m sure my husband is going to force me to get my own shrimp next time!?

Found this little gem on the way home from the Outerbanks. We were a group of 8 so we tried almost everything on the menu. The burger and chicken Philly were out of this world. Everyone was so nice! We will definitely be back next trip to the beach.

Stopped here to grab some lunch on vacation. We love to try the local restaurants vs the big chains. Food was amazing. My husband had the Italian hoagie, I had the Caesar shrimp wrap, which was the special of the day and one of my daughters. Got the chicken strip basket. Plenty of food all the way around. Food was really good as well. You need to get off the beaten path and try this local restaurant. Seating is limited inside however, they have outside seating, which is very accommodating if ya don’t mind nature. Highly recommend and glad we stopped here while we were traveling.

While driving to Emerald Isle NC, we saw the sign for Barnyard Betsy’s and something about a cheese steak. We decided to take the exit and boy were we glad we did!! We were greeted by all the staff with the biggest warmest welcome. We ordered a beef cheesesteak and a cheesesteak hoagie. Both were HUGE! Definitely shareable, but glad we didn’t because I had leftovers and it was great heated up in the air fryer. We got an order of onion rings and fried okra both delicious! While we were there, we were offered free spaghetti and meatballs, which we gladly accepted and boy or are we glad we did. It was delicious! If you’re ever in the area or passing through, definitely need To stop in for a great service and excellent food!!

Have you ever eating something and it took you back to a moment in time and it made you want to cry? Well Yep that was exactly my Experience! Yes you heard me correct this was so much more than just a meal after chuuuch! It was a divine Kingdom Experience! You could taste every ounce of Love that was put into this cheesesteak. One of my favorite quotes is Exposure gives Expansion I literally want to arrange a Bus trip just to give people the wonderful experience that my husband and I had!!

As we drove up and we saw the beautiful eyecatching red barn I could not wait to go inside. AS soon as those doors swung open we were greeted with the most warmest southern hospitable welcome, hit with Northern Philly accent! I could have taken my shoes off & curled up with a blanket, that was the hearfelt welcome & service we received! She immediately advised us of her menu with complete confidence and knowledge. We ordered the cheesesteak with mayo, onions, peppers , hot peppers and dill pickles. Golden brown crispy fried onion rings and fried okra. OMG!!! I am starting to drool just thinking about ! Sweet Baby Jesus!!! 1 bite into the seasoned to perfection cheese steak sent my mind spiraling …I was sooo emotional!! Happy because it was soooo good!!! Mad because I had not gotten here before now, Sad because I couldn’t hold on to that bite forever!! Did I mention that she is from Philly !! Babe it does not get more Authentic than that! 7 hr drive versus 1 hr and some change drive I have gone to restaurants and stood in line before they opened just to taste a good cheesesteak in Philly and the same experience in Creswell NC!!! Definitely a hidden gem!!….Barnyard Betsy for the Win!!! Lord I ate and left no crumbs literally!!! Just a side note too! She has philly cheesesteak egg rolls too with a special sauce and listennnnnn
