I visited on a weekend for dinner. The atmosphere was quiet, clean and the bartender was polite. I ordered a chicken Alfredo pasta, the flavor was okay, the Parmesan cheese elevated the taste from a 5/10 to a 7/10. I also ordered a calzone with added meat, the calzone was hard, burnt and the meat was tasteless. I swapped it for a salad, the salad was much better than the calzone. Once my order was finalized, I was still charged for the calzone I returned. I chose not to make a big deal about but I will not be back as a customer.

One of my favorite places in Staten Island, and it happens to have some of the top 10, top 25 pizza ratings in nyc. They’re part of Joe & Pat’s (SI & Manhattan), Rubirosa (Manhattan), Ciro’s fame. And it’s one of very few restaurants off the ferry, 2 blocks from the Outlets and St. George Theater.
It’s an old-school Tiffany lamp, awesome Marshall speaker red-checkered table cloth place. The prices are incredible, esp when there are so few restaurants in the area, and the to-go lunch specials are the best. I’ll put a pic of that menu since they’re not on the website. 🙂

Wow what a disappointment. Expected a true baked ziti. Instead, I get sauce mixed with a bunch of ricotta – when I specifically asked for light – and absolutely no cheese except a measly slice on top. For $20 this is flavorless and terrible.

Absolutely fabulous!! We are tourists from the UK and WOW!!! These guys have certainly set the tone for the expectations for food/service. Staten island has been super welcoming and the food and service in this place has the best Italian food we’ve ever eaten(from a European, this is incredibly rare). The authenticity, mannerisms, attitude and welcoming manner screams Italy. Absolutely blown away. They have exceeded every expectation and more! Couldn’t recommend this place enough, id even suggest leaving NYC to visit Staten Island just for the pizza. Perfection

I visited this Italian restaurant during a quick round trip with the Staten Island Ferry, and it was a fantastic find! Some friendly police officers at the ferry terminal recommended this place, and I’m so glad I followed their advice.
The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The mac and cheese here is hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly creamy and full of flavor.
The restaurant is also very clean, and the overall vibe is warm and inviting. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed lunch. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Staten Island!

We found this pizza restaurant online and decided to make a trip on the free ferry from Manhattan. The ferry offered great views on the way and the restaurant was just what we were looking for.
We might not have chosen it from the appearance outside but inside it was great. The other guests were friendly, the waiter helped us understand the menu and the pizza was really good. The pale ale was good too.

As part of my five-borough pizza challenge, I made my way to Pier 76 in Staten Island, eager to experience what many had praised as some of the city’s finest pizza. Located just a stone’s throw from the Staten Island Ferry, the restaurant boasts a warm and intimate atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.
The staff, though clearly busy with the influx of pizza challenge participants, remained friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. I ordered a slice, anticipating the thin-crust delight that Pier 76 is known for. Visually, the pizza was appealing, with a generous layer of cheese and a crisp crust. However, the taste left much to be desired. The cheese was overly stringy and chewy, detracting from the overall flavor. The sauce was average at best, lacking the depth and zest found in some of the city’s other renowned pizzerias. While I generally appreciate thin crusts, this one was overly thin and excessively crispy, reminiscent of cardboard, which was quite disappointing.
Reflecting on my visit, while the pizza did not meet my expectations, the friendly service was a redeeming aspect. Given the distance from the City, I don’t anticipate returning in the future.

We stopped here after taking the ferry and got two pies, one Royal Pier Pizza and a Pesto Pizza. Both were very tasty. The service here was good; the staff are attentive, actively checking in on patrons to ensure all needs are met.

My friends and I came here last night for dinner. Our experience left us never wanting to come here again. The one bartender was also the waiter. We felt badly he had to wait tables on his own and we can accept he did his best and he was very nice. The main issue with this place was the kitchen. They took an hour to send out one friend’s avocado burger when our party was done eating even though he put in his order earlier than all of us. He ended up feeling sick to his stomach when he got home. Another friend ordered a cauliflower crust pizza and she never received her food. She ended up canceling her pizza order because of how long she was made to wait and still not receive her food. She has a health issue that requires her to be gluten free and we chose this place initially because of the gluten free offerings…that was not reflected in our experience. The only thing she could eat was the fries! She left hungry and having to eat at home. A third friend ordered the butternut squash ravioli and noticed the sauce tasted funny/kinda sour. She is now suffering with food poisoning when she got home and into today. The waiter gave a 20% discount as a refund for the cauliflower pizza and for the wait on the burger but that isn’t enough of a recompense given two people getting food poisoning. I will be pursuing a card chargeback for the ravioli since the friend who ordered it got violently ill.
