I hosted my daughter’s second birthday party at Bitter Sweet Farm’s Great Loft on Valentine’s Day, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Abby was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process—she answered all of my questions, helped coordinate the details, and made sure everything ran smoothly.

On the day of the event, Tori and the entire team were so kind, accommodating, and attentive. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless and joyful celebration.

The buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options for our guests. We were given plenty of time to set up, fully enjoy the party, and pack up afterward without feeling rushed.

Bittersweet Farm made my daughter’s birthday so special, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

They converted one of the Tripp family barns into a wonderful restaurant. The service is excellent, Kathy and Morgan catered to our every need. The buffet line includes: salad, fruit, waffles, main line and dessert. Everything we tried was outstanding. I could not try all of the items on the line because there was just to many options. The salad was crisp and fresh. The fruit was super fresh and sweet. The chowder was outstanding with lots of clam bits and potatoes. The meat selections that I enjoyed were great. Prime rib, burnt ends, chicken, and sausage were all tender and tasty. My wife and grandson gave great marks on the salmon. Everyone was very happy with our food, drinks and Allstar service.

Bittersweet is an absolutely stunning venue, and our entire wedding experience there was seamless from the start. We planned our wedding in just four months, and both the planning process and the day itself were smooth, beautiful, and completely stress-free. Our private ceremony in the loft and our reception on the main floor felt effortless, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible day-of coordinator, Alexis. She was organized, calm, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail reflected exactly what we envisioned. The whole night unfolded beautifully, and she’ll always hold a special place with us for helping create a wedding day we’ll never forget. Thank you to Alexis and the entire Bittersweet team for making our day truly unforgettable.

The food was horrible..$125 for 2 people to eat and the food was gross.. It was buffet style. The turkey was like a show so dry, they offered prime rib it wasn’t prime rib it was more like a tenderloin it was horrible for me not to go back for more was sad..I actually went home hungry on Thanksgiving it was horrible.. Taco Bell was a better choice and I don’t eat fast food

Really sad, I hadn’t been to bittersweet in quite a while. My boyfriend and I were excited to visit them for Valentine’s Day and sample whatever special menu they had to offer. Honestly, I hate leaving reviews like this because I don’t like to be negative, at the same time I think it’s very important for a business owner to know their areas of opportunity, so they can hopefully turn things around. So I just have to say, the food was pretty terrible. We got scallops wrapped in bacon as an appetizer and they were very bland, the bacon was not high quality and was very fatty, was definitely not crispy like it should be. The scallops were a bit overcooked, and then they try to give you a dipping sauce to possibly make things better, but it was a Ginger soy sauce which was so salty, and does not pair well at all with scallops and bacon. I’ve had scallops wrapped in bacon at other restaurants where they do a balsamic glaze or something sweet and the bacon is crispy, a combo like that is amazing but this ginger soy sauce was just gross with this dish. So then for entrees my boyfriend got the chicken Oscar with mashed potatoes, it was decently flavored, not terrible by any means but also not anything I would call delicious, the food lacked flavor and complexity and just felt a bit basic like something you could make easily at home. I got the lobster ravioli and I just was severely disappointed. For starters, it says it comes with a pink sauce but it absolutely did not, it had a red sauce which does not pair well with lobster. Think about it, lobster and tomato? Not good. A true pink sauce is very light in color and borders on a cream sauce. Lobster ravioli really should be presented with a cream sauce and if a pink sauce is offered, it should be very light pink and have some Parmesan to accompany it. But this just seemed like marinara over lobster ravioli, which again is not a good pairing. The raviolis themselves, although kind of budget in appearance, were flavorful and I did like them, but the sauce was a miss, and then the lobster meat on top… Total fail. It was super overcooked and chewy, I don’t know if they grill it or what not, but they really shouldn’t. It should probably just be lightly steamed, the lobster meat should be very soft and meaty. It was burnt in spots and very chewy and just nasty, I didn’t even finish it, and that’s sad because it should have been the star of the dish! Then we got the brookie for dessert which is kind of like a soft chocolate chip cookie pie with a brownie bottom served with ice cream… That was decently good, the brownie bottom was flavorful but the cookie part was a little dry and crumbly.. I probably wouldn’t get it again.
I am not one to complain, and I did not send anything back or try to get refunded on my bill or anything like that… But I just won’t be going back to this restaurant anytime soon. I remember the food being really good years ago, I would say that they’ve gone pretty far downhill. I can definitely make better food at home, so why spend over $100 going out to eat?! I think the kitchen needs some serious help. Either the chefs are lacking and skill, or whoever is preparing the menu does not have good food knowledge. Again, I feel bad saying this because I’m not trying to hurt anyone, but if I were a business owner, I would definitely want to know where I was failing. This restaurant is listed as fine dining, but I don’t agree at this point whatsoever.
The atmosphere was nice, and the service was great so That was a positive. We were seated pretty promptly because we had a reservation and went early.

We were very graciously greeted by Jack and seated at a cozy table for 2 by the fireplace. Tara..our server immediately recognized us and knew our cocktails of choice even though it’s been a while since we dined there. Her pleasantness and professionalism was throughout our dining experience. The food was fantastic. Oysters..calamari..French onion soup, prime rib and farmers meatloaf. It truly was a relaxing and enjoyable evening and will back soon..happy holidays. The Quintins.

Because of the beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and incredible people working for Bittersweet Farm, my 4/20/2024 wedding was a dream come true!

I was a type A bride, and my vendor coordinator Victoria Pedro always had answers to my many questions. She listened to me and executed my wedding vision perfectly!

Being an April bride, I considered the possibility that it might rain. Bittersweet has both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces and even though it rained all morning, they made an outdoor ceremony possible! And during the indoor reception- the lights, loft, and cozy environment of Bittersweet created the perfect vibe for my husband and I celebrate love with our family and friends.

The food. It’s everything! My husband and I were invited to a complimentary tasting with several other couples getting married in the coming months, which made it easy to pick our appetizers and menu options. I chose the Meadows Package and it was so worth it- especially for the passed seasonal sangria during cocktail hour. My favorite food items were the mini tomato soup and grilled cheese bites, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, and of course the late night donut bar!!

I’m so happy we chose Bittersweet Farm as our wedding venue and would recommend it to anyone. I can’t wait to celebrate date nights at the tavern for years to come!

I just wanted to touch on our wedding experience here at Bittersweet Farm for anyone else considering this as their venue —

You can’t beat the location, it’s beautiful all the way around. We were blessed to have beautiful weather + had weather not been permitting, they had a plan in place to do the ceremony inside and work around it so that took a lot of stress away!

We worked with Victoria as our wedding coordinator & she brought a lot to the table when it came to planning our day. She’s professional, very kind, timely, she made sure to always follow up with me for any questions/changes/etc. & always had a positive attitude start to finish which is what you need during a very chaotic & stressful time.

The food was delicious, a few weeks later from our wedding & I am still hearing about how good the food was! We went with the prime rib, chicken madeira and scrod which were all phenomenal. The hors d’oeuvres were sensational — mini beef wellingtons, bacon wrapped scallops + watermelon rounds were some of the favorites from our guests!

Everyone there helping with our wedding from setting up, to dinner, to making drinks — so, so kind! A huge takeaway for us was the atmosphere. Beautiful with such kind & helpful people all the way through. That really makes or breaks your day & I could not say enough nice things about everyone who works for Bittersweet Farm!

Thank you for giving us some of our most beautiful memories we will make in our life together! If you’re looking — you’ve found your place. I’ll be recommending them to anyone & everyone for a lifetime!

Had such a great experience at Bittersweet for our wedding! We ended up having to postpone our wedding because of covid. The process of moving dates and coordinating was so easy! Our wedding coordinator Abby did a great job communicating with us prior and during the wedding. We utilized as much decor as possible from the venue and it turned out wonderful. The day was so easy going and stress free. We really had the most beautiful night. The food was great and the staff was awesome. We had an overall amazing experience and would definitely recommend and choose again!!
