A very special thank you to the administrators Tawfiq and Mohammed, the talented Chef Ghamdan, and the wonderful restaurant manager Malak.
The food was truly outstanding, the variety, the generous quantity, and most importantly the quality were exceptional. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared.
The service was impressively fast, professional, and very accommodating. The team went above and beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly. They graciously allowed us to set up our themed decorations and even helped us with the setup, which we deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your hospitality, generosity, and commitment to excellence. You truly went above and beyond for our community, and we are so grateful. We look forward to working together again in the future.
I have visited this restaurant five times: twice with my family, once with my nephew, and twice with friends. This review reflects all of those experiences.
The Good:
The food is absolutely delicious. We regularly order Fahsa, Tanoor Bread, Sheesh Tawook, Hummus, and Kabsa.
Our favorite is the Fahsa with Tanoor Bread. It is incredibly flavorful and comforting. Everyone I have brought here loved it and said they had never tasted something this good before. The Sheesh Tawook is also excellent, though Fahsa remains our top choice.
I tried Kabsa once and did not enjoy it. Perhaps it was just an off day for that dish.
A special mention to the chef, who is polite, well-mannered, and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. He personally came out to ask how everything was and offered to make adjustments if needed. That kind of hospitality truly stands out and shows dedication to quality and service.
The Not So Good:
The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the waitress who served the food. Out of my five visits, her behavior was acceptable when I came with my family and nephew, though not particularly welcoming. However, during my two visits with friends, her attitude was unpleasant and unprofessional. It felt as though we were not welcome there, which was disappointing considering how amazing the food and chef are.
A Special Message to the Owner:
Please look into this matter seriously. The waitress who served us was very disrespectful, and her attitude does not reflect the excellent quality of your restaurant or your chef’s hospitality. Either consider replacing her with someone more professional or kindly advise her to learn basic manners and customer service. This is the only thing stopping this place from being a perfect five-star experience.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional food and the chef’s wonderful attitude. Fahsa with Tanoor Bread is a must try. It is absolutely outstanding.
I went with friends, and the table was filled with excitement from the start. They ordered the lamb, which came out tender, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly, it had that melt in your mouth quality that kept them raving throughout the meal. I decided on a combination of things. A plate with hummus, and beef kafta, and and order of baba ghanoush, and every bite was excellent. Both were served with their bread. The hummus was creamy with the right touch of lemon, the kafta savory and spiced beautifully, and the baba ghanoush had that smoky depth you always hope for.
The real standout, though, was the bread. Served warm and fresh from the oven tandoori maybe?, it was soft yet hearty, ideal for scooping up the dips. It’s not an exaggeration to say it was some of the best bread I’ve ever had.
To go with the food, I tried their yogurt drink, which was creamy, refreshing, and surprisingly addictive an ideal complement to the richness of the dishes. On top of that, Dar Alyemen serves complimentary red tea, and I absolutely loved it. Fragrant and calming, it was the perfect way to round out the meal.
Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere was welcoming from start to finish. Dar Alyemen is easily one of Cleveland’s best spots for authentic, flavorful food served with true hospitality.
They don’t serve a side of yogurt without asking. Make sure you get this for the rice!
The exterior is humble and might not catch your eye—but don’t let that fool you. Inside, it’s simple, clean, and comfortable, with incredibly kind, welcoming service that made me feel right at home.
This place is a hidden gem that deserves way more attention—especially from those who love uncovering the best eats in unexpected places. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be bringing friends. Let’s get this restaurant the love it fully deserves!
