Stopped by Pho Social and really enjoyed our meal! My wife ordered the small Beef Pho with added tendon, and I had the Beef Pho with beef meatballs. The meatballs were especially tasty and flavorful, really stood out.
The food was delicious overall, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Just a heads-up for others: they do charge an automatic gratuity, so check your bill.
So I think that if the prices were a little better, I would give a 5 star. I would also give a 5 star for the food if all the sizes were fair. I think the rolls were way to little for the price you pay and there could be some clarity on how many it will be served and whether or not they are big (as it may spoil your food) or small (I would recommend getting another appetizer).
I also felt a little pressured to leave, but maybe because it was starting to get into the busy hours even though I didn’t notice any enhancement in the movement or if I didn’t see way too many spaces open.
I would love if there was a kind of tea to go through with the food, but maybe I missed that in the menu.
The service was also fair, nothing way too good, just average service. Again, would appreciate some more communication so we would know what we would be ordering since it was our first time.
Will probably go back again, but after I made some choices of not eating out and then going for a bite that will take a fair use of money for take outs.
The food was really delicious and fresh. I told them I had allergies and they reassured me that I was in good hands.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

When we checked out, the server handed us the credit card machine without showing the receipt. The total seemed higher than expected, but since no breakdown was provided, I assumed it was normal and added an 18% tip on the machine.
Before leaving, I specifically asked to see the receipt. Only then did we discover that the restaurant had already added a 13% automatic gratuity to the bill. This was never disclosed verbally, never pointed out on the screen, and not shown before we were asked to tip again.
That means the system effectively encouraged a double gratuity without informing the customer.
After a firm request, the staff returned the automatic gratuity in cash, which confirms the charge was not justified — but it should never have happened in the first place.
Automatic gratuities are not inherently wrong, but failing to clearly disclose them before payment is dishonest. Transparency matters, especially when money is involved.
This experience seriously undermined my trust in this business. I expect better transparency and ethics from a restaurant.
I strongly recommend that future customers ask to see a full itemized receipt before paying, and I hope management addresses this practice immediately.
