Social Profile:

I opened Tio Caszo’s Puerto Rican Kitchen, a family-operated, mobile food and catering business dedicated to bringing urban New York City flavors like Chopped Cheese and Puerto Rican specialties to the heart of Oklahoma. The menu features beloved Puerto Rican favorites like empanadas, alcapurrias, rellenos de papa, bacalaitos, arroz con gandules, pernil, and pasteles. I also offer unique twists on traditional dishes, such as the pastelón dog – a portable Puerto Rican lasagna hot dog – and Boricua nachos, a flavorful mix of plantain chips topped with homemade picadillo and fresh sauces. Operating mainly on weekends, you can find us at various events and pop-ups around Oklahoma City. We offer catering services, weddings & corporate events.

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch recently and it was delicious! I had the pernil plate and he had the Piccadilly plate, and we shared a mixed guava and passion fruit juice and then we had the caramel apple empanadas for dessert! Everything was delicious, highly recommend the plantains with the sauce, I’ve never really been the biggest fan of plantains until I tried it with this sauce, so good! The owner was super nice and explained the whole menu and it was a great lunch!

The food is absolutely fantastic and is the place my husband and I always recommend to our friends and family. They also catered our wedding because we love the food soooo much. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Great food and great people.

Legitimate Bronx/Harlem bodega style Chopped Cheese sandwich and plantains. Carlos runs a limited menu for quality purposes and does a very consistent job with his food. They know their customers and have a great cashier.

I obviously ate before my camera haha! This food is off the chain, so GOOD. I only wish I had more. Don’t get me started on the plantains… too good. Very flavorful and unique. It is also in a very cute spot. Would be a nice place to come have a bite with friends but also perfect for togo!

Was super excited to try this place with my mother, never been here before. Its a very tiny place the cook and cashier are avout 5 ft apart to give context. Im not a huge vegetable person, I asked the lady at the checkout if they could be removed, the cook cut off both of us and said “Nope its all mixed in” rude and short. Then I turned back to the cashier and said well is there anything that I can get that I can remove the vegetables. As she began to say “yes..” the cook cut her off and loudly, rudely and short again said “Nope” so we walked out without spending a dime. Its unfortunate place looks really good, and if you like vegetables im sure it is good. Unfortunately it takes one bad apple (cook) with a horrible attitude and awful customer service to ruin it. If I was told nicely that nothing could be changed i could have worked around it. But the cooks tone and demeanor were absolutely disrespectful.

I can’t begin to describe how incredibly rude the owner of this place is. When I went in to order, he was speaking so poorly to the young woman working the register that I regretted spending my money there. He repeatedly told her that everything she did was wrong, cut her off anytime she tried to speak, and called her slow. I even put my friend on the phone so she could hear it for herself because I was honestly in disbelief that a grown man (especially the owner) would speak to someone who was helping him that way. It seemed like she may have been a family member, possibly his daughter, because I can’t imagine someone choosing to work in that environment. Don’t come here unless you enjoy witnessing verbal abuse
