We ordered the classic sandwich and the chicken cheddar bacon sandwich. Both were half sandwiches. I liked all the toppings, but I did not realize that the bacon cheddar did not come with mayo like the original sandwich. I’ll have to add that next time. Great sandwiches and hit the spot as we head back to Chi town.

Ordered pick up online. Arrived early and aplogies given despite I was few minutes early, they were also in dinner rush. Waited on side in lot for drive through pick up. Manager came out apologies for wait…needed family size chips for my order and they were out but said he would CHECK THE DELIVERY in process and find the box or make it right! Customer service impeccable for this. Food delicious…cold food cold and fresh hot food fresh and piping.
Kudos Cousins team!

Terrible! Hardly any meat on the sandwiches! Almost 25 bucks for bread, onions and green peppers! The chicken tender sandwich had 2 pieces of hard dried out chicken. It was a waste of money! No more Cousins for us!

I don’t know why I keep coming back to this Cousins. I love Cousins in general, and this one is conveniently located, but it’s perhaps one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had. I’ve been here maybe 20 times or more, and over half the time it’s great. Great service, great food, etc. But what’s finally making write this is that I got drive through, went back to my office to eat, and I open my sandwich and immediately I can smell the Tuna. It’s not entirely tuna; I can understand that it was a little busy and sometimes the wrong order gets sent out, but just a little bit, like someone started putting Tuna on the bread, realized there was no tuna in the sandwich, and then scraped some of it off to make my regular club. I really hate fish. I don’t eat it at all, and tuna is such a strong smelling food that I couldn’t eat any of it. In the past I have ordered curb side delivery, and had to wait in the parking lot for over half an hour before, when I ordered 30 minutes in advance (so 60 minutes total from when I ordered). I’ve also ordered drive through, been sent to wait in the parking lot, and have to watch as everyone else gets their food before mine. It’s fine if they don’t want to do curbside, but don’t let me pay online if they’re not going to actually do curbside. Just let me know in advance, and I’ll come in the store. And same thing goes if you’re going to send me to drive through purgatory, where I’m in my car waiting for food that is never coming.

If you or a loved one deal with allergies, sensitivities, or merely a desire to get the food you ordered as specified on your ticket, I cannot recommend avoiding this establishment enough. My girlfriend has a severe onion allergy, and time and time again, despite always ordering it without the ingredients that induce an anaphylactic attack, we find that they do not take these instructions seriously. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere.

Tonight I ordered a turkey on whole grain bread with light mayo and light onions. The sandwich would have been great except for the bread. It was hard and crunchy and clearly past its prime. This happened the last time I got the same sandwich and I wrote it off as just a bad day. I was willing to give it another try but am really disappointed. Good is expensive and this will makee think twice next time we want a sandwich. My husband and my father had delicious sandwiches with cheese steak and meatball subs.

Ordered a couple of veggie subs over the weekend online. When I arrived to pick them up, the grill that they cook on looked disgusting. There was crud and burnt meat all on the sides. The kitchen looked unhealthy. I didn’t have much faith in my sub being edible at that point. When I got home and unwrapped it, there was nasty, slimy spring mix lettuce, a few cucumbers that we’re also old, some pieces of cheese and no mayo. I took it back for a refund. The kid working there said he was unable to do that since it’s an online order, but he would contact his manager. I will never eat there again and highly recommend nobody else step foot into that establishment. I have not heard anything back from the manager, or corporate office after sending them feedback, so I can only assume that they just don’t care.
UPDATE:
I have tried multiple times to contact them, as well as the web address they give in the response to my review. They will not get back to me, and I am out of my hard earned money. I will contact the health department and have them inspected. Don’t be surprised if they suddenly close down.
UPDATE: They finally contacted me and refunded me a full refund on the order.

Cousins Subs: This Milwaukee based sub sandwich shop is located throughout the Midwest at more than 100 locations. It was founded in 1972 by cousins Bill Specht and Jim Sheppard (hence the name Cousins Subs). Today I have their cheesesteak sub that was generously provided free of charge by my boss at a work lunch. Cousins’ cheesesteak comes with steak, provolone cheese (I substituted for American this time), lettuce, onions, tomatoes & salt. Being the cheese man that I am, I decided to try it on their parmesan asiago bread. The bread added an extra burst of cheesy flavor (just not the ooey gooey kind) making me glad I remembered to try it. When heated the bread was soft, thick, and pleasantly chewy. I was given a large portion of steak and there was plenty of gooey, melty, American cheese to keep me happy. Although it didn’t add flavor, the lettuce did add a nice crunchy texture along with the onions that were packing some flavor. I enjoyed this enough to consider it one of my favorite go to fast food cheat meals, Doughboy approved

My sandwich had very old and rotting pieces of onion. Absolutely ridiculous my coworker bought me lunch from there today. I made sandwiches for 10 years and it’s OBVIOUS that quality control isn’t important here!

Bread was soggy, and I asked for it toasted…I quess it needs to be extra toasted. I specifically stated that I I would like fresh curds, and I was assured that they would be. I watched the employee pull them out of the heatlamp warmer 5 minutes before my sandwich was completed, and place into the bag. They were definitely not up to par. Just saying…
