The quality of the dishes I tried was excellent. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. If you are purely focused on taste, this place won’t disappoint.
The main drawback, in my opinion, lies in the value proposition. The price range here is a little bit higher than average for a neighborhood Thai restaurant. Compounding that, the portion sizes were noticeably small—not as generous as I’ve come to expect from similar establishments. You might find yourself needing to order an extra appetizer or side to feel fully satisfied, which only drives the total cost up.
The restaurant’s interior and general ambiance are perfectly adequate—nothing spectacular, but clean and comfortable. The biggest logistical hurdle is the parking, which is quite tricky in this area.
What I have personally tried:
*Thai style huli huli chicken: this was absolutely wonderful, it was the special for the day and it was moist and went well in the spicy sauce they offered along wirh the sweet and tangy one. Went for the sticky rice for the side!
*Nam Tok: perfect seasoning, had to attempt to make it myself but it just doesn’t compare to here. I like to order this spicy. I’ve ordered this a second time because it was that good.
*Kana moo Krab: Out of everything I have tried this one might be my least favorite just because the meat is a little more tough. That does not take away that it was still good. The chinese broccoli was also still nice and crunchy and not overcooked.
*Basil fried rice with pork: Ate this along with the Nam Tok the first time I ordered it and it is very flavorful and filling.
*Fried spring rolls: I originally ordered this for the table but they were so good I ate most of them. Very hot and the sauce you dip it in pairs perfectly.
*Okinawa sweet potato lumpia: paired with the condensed milk and chocolate sauces, it was fried to crispy perfection and was delicious.
*Boat noodles: ordered this with beef and extra tendon to go. They even packed all the sides in case I wanted to make it spicy. The ong choy and bean sprouts were nice and crunchy while the broth was very flavorful. Would definitely order again but want to try more dishes!
*Thai tea: my friend and I both are sure to order this whenever we stopped by and whenever we ordered to go, would have to stop ourselves from finishing it too quickly before we got our order.
What my friends have ordered that I got to try a bit of:
*Chicken pad thai: one of the best pad thai I have had. My friend said it was on par with her favorite pad thai back in California.
The server was extremely nice and greeted me when I walked in and when I departed.
The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites are the fried rice, panang curry, and pad see ew. Every dish has that perfect balance of flavor and comfort that keeps me coming back.
Hands down, the best Thai restaurant on Kamehameha. Please support this gem—you won’t regret it! 🙂
The casual cafe style, cute interior, spaced out tables, are all very relaxing.
We loved all the food we ordered.
We will definitely come back.
