Love the pastries the most here but they have a killer roast beef sandwich I always get. Service is a bit slow but they always whip up your food fast after ordering. Small inside but the outdoor seating is nice if you decide to stay.

Stopped here while on a roadtrip because I’m always a sucker for new bakeries in a new location. I purchased 2 each of the peanutbutter, chocolate chip and molasses cookies. The molasses cookies were really moist and chewy while the peanutbutter were kind of dry. Overall not a bad place to stop for baked goods when in this part of the state.

Great bakery. We had an apple fritter muffin (!!), a sticky bun, an espresso, and bought a loaf of Cheddar Jalepeño bread.
All were good. The Americano was exceptional.
We sat outside and enjoyed the view.

I ordered a garlic chicken pizza and had them put jalapeños on it and it turned out so good! Best pizza anywhere hands-down. Also, their fruit smoothies are legit! And pretty much everything else they make because it’s all from scratch. I definitely plan on coming back often. — @xplrnw

Favorite place in town. The cinnamon rolls are insane, also the ham and cheddar croissants and the hello dolly bars are great.
There is covered seating outside and in the summer there is live music and karaoke.
Online ordering is easy, and thats how I usually order pizza, you get a text when your order is ready so it makes it convenient.

This place was a lot better 10 years ago. I wouldn’t recommend it now. My panini was a large step down from the sandwiches they used to serve here. They have these giant croissants in the front of the display with a lot of meat and cheese coming out of them. She handed me my croissant and I had to ask her if it was the same item because It was half the size and had almost nothing inside. The other pastries we tried were dry and not well made. I wouldn’t get anything but coffee from here again.

Very cute interior with lots of tourist merchandise. I got a breakfast burrito and couldn’t help but wish they seasoned the eggs with more salt and pepper. The cinnamon roll was dry on the outside but the interior was nice and soft.. Good cream cheese icing. The vanilla latte was too sweet and 66% milk. Overall a decent place for in the middle of a dessert

Always friendly service and delicious pastries, both sweet and savory. When you are here, check out the nearby path under the Hwy 97 and railroad bridges The confluence is interesting to see any season.

Update 2025: I used to feel welcomed here. Maybe I am just old and easily confused. I am sure the staff and owners did not intend to dehumanize their customers. Unfortunately, here is how I felt at my most recent and maybe last visit: it was almost impossible to understand the rapid fire questions of the cashier about my choice of sandwich over the hum of a dozen cooling aggregates competing with unwelcome music for acoustic attention. Once that ordeal was over, I was asked by the inevitable payment screen to add a tip on top of a steep price for a sandwich which I hoped was edible. To underscore the electronic wall between the staff and its customers, I was given a buzzer that would remind me that my high price piece of nourishment was ready to meet me. The result was drastically underwhelming: Some Rost beef shoved into a corner between two slices of the most uninspired floppy thin sourdough that met my lips in a decade. I need to find me a place around here where somebody seems to appreciate me as a customer, cuz this place ain’t it for me no more.

Someone recommended this bakery in the middle of nowhere. Glad we stopped by & loaded up on Abbie’s local honey, ham & cheddar croissant, berry smoothie, & some amazing brick oven pizza. Lots of choices, including fully loaded breakfast burrito, sammies, & salads. Eat outside or out front. Open till 7 pm, which is unheard of for a bakery. So worth the 25-mile drive from Chelan.

Consistently disappointed. I live in Northern Okanogan and travel frequently for work. I have stopped here many times over the years, and am consistently disappointed. I keep hoping the food quality will improve. The filled croissants have scant amount of filling, usually about one small bite worth. The “giant” breakfast burrito was not much bigger than “Annie’s” frozen burrito. Very plain with American cheese, not “cheddar” and no hash browns…not at all like the menu described. And for $10. The menu looks great, even with a “please be patient, everything is homemade” sign, but it seems only the bread and pastries are homemade. It’s a typical “cut corners” type of place where the owners don’t appear to have any pride in what they are serving. The bathroom is exactly the same very dirty that I have seen for years. Just a quick swipe on the seat every night type of cleaning.
I also keep hoping Blue Star will have a deeper more accurate roast for their Espresso drinks. But, it is a typical American version of espresso, light and mild, not at all what espresso is supposed to be. Not a very good cup of coffee.
I hope the owners read my review and take it to heart. We all work hard for our money, so I ask you to please work on your food quality so it matches your menu presentation and to improve your store cleanliness.
