Stayed at the Grand Naniloa for a few days and this place is great. Raquel served us twice and she was terrific. Food was delicious and prepared well. Nothing I would not recommend that I tried. We did “dim sum” style dinner and late night fare. Poke Tacos and Fried Brussel sprouts were our favorite.
Live music was also nice and the atmosphere is amazing.

We dined tonight as 2. Our server was Kayne. His service was efficient, personable, and professional. We each ordered the catch of the day which was delicious and something we would expect at a finer dining restaurant. The location and view are exceptional minus the poor weather tonight. We enjoyed our time there and would dine there again.

The food is a disaster. The shrimp in the dumplings is completely raw!!!! It is supposed to be cooked (comfirmed by the waiter). The waiter keeps making excuses when they know the shrimp is raw. Bad experience, do not recommend.

Five stars across the board for Ka Lihikai Restaurant and Bar. The atmosphere was absolutely incredible, laid back, welcoming, and full of good vibes. But the real highlight of my visit was Nicole behind the bar. Her service was phenomenal, and she made me hands down the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had. It was perfectly balanced and topped with the most amazing garnishes, including a huge shrimp that was out of this world. Nicole made me feel like the number one customer from the moment I walked in. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

When eating at this restaurant I had the privilege of being waited on by Nicole!
Nicole was extremely awesome. She was kind, courteous and efficient.
Not only did she provide excellent customer service she even gave me great advice on some attractions in the area that I would otherwise not have known about!
I went to the Akaka Falls and boy was it a beautiful experience ♥️
Lastly, I enjoyed breakfast and lunch here and the food was delicious.
The presentation was excellent!
The atmosphere is serene as you can look out to the ocean while you eat and enjoy a cool breeze. And the prices are reasonable. They have culture specific dishes and options for those that may not be so open to trying new things….
Everyone here was so friendly and helpful and I am had an amazing time in Hilo!!

2024 & again in 2025, keeps getting better. Just enjoyed a truly wonderful Ka Lihikai Burger cooked Med Rare as requested and it was so good! Beautiful fresh ground beef perfectly melted cheddar, house made pickles, thick slice of tomato. This is a the burger you need while re engizing for the day ahead. Seriously if you are in Hilo, or staying at the DoubleTree in Hilo enjoy Ka Lihikai it’s wonderful! Korean Fried Hot Wings, Gorgonzola Ceaser Salad! Kalbi Beef Short Ribs with Kimchi Fried Rice with TWO Eggs for Breakfast is absolutely fantastic. Really can tell the new outstanding management and happy, joyful and polite servers who actually hustle and have a positive attitude… Wow… Someone is doing good things at the Grand Nani Loa DoubleTree in Hilo. I really enjoy this new crew from 2024 and now headed into 2026 I see it just getting better and better!

This restaurant is located poolside/seaside at the Grand Naniloa Hilton Double Tree. So you get a great view and good food. The food and service well exceeded our expectations and is one of the best things about the hotel. We had the plate lunch and pizza, both were delicious. They had a nice kids menu including chicken strips. My son really enjoyed them and there were so many we had some left over for a midnight snack.
As a bonus, there is live Hawaiian music and hula some evenings.
