My food was a delivery order but not to far. Fast delivery but food was horrible and missing items. I have eaten here for years. Maybe it was just a bad day. One meal hot and one cold. Steak was like leather. Only good thing was my salad with no salad dressing lol. Should have ordered from somewhere else

Delicious!!! Authentic, flavorful, and generous portions, but that’s just the beginning. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with a happy and welcoming family atmosphere. I visited from California for the second time and can’t wait to be back. Thank you, Pieblo Viejo for the fine experience!

Beware! This restaurant engages in bait-and-switch tactics and double pricing.
All menu prices are overcharged at checkout. Identical items appear in different sections of the menu at different prices, and the higher price is always charged. For example, Cheese Dip is listed under “Appetizers” for $5.99 (small size) and under “Sides” for $2.99 (no size indicated). The same applies to Guacamole. At checkout, prices are increased even further. I was charged $6.20 for the $2.99 item. When I inquired, I was told the $2.99 item actually costs $5.99, and the price was subject to a surcharge because I paid with a credit card. Similar surcharges were applied to other menu items. To justify the price gouging, I was shown a small, address-sized sticker on the menu that vaguely stated cash prices are discounted—but it provided no details on the amount of the discount or whether the listed menu prices applied to cash or card payments. One note on the check mentions that cash payments receive a 3.5% discount. It feels like a carefully orchestrated shell game with pricing. One star for dishonest business practices.

Was nervous to try this restaurant based on its 3 star google review, but so glad we gave it a chance. This is hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in Algood/Cookeville. The staff was friendly and the food tasted fresh and delicious. The regular size margaritas were huge (see photo). I can’t wait to go back and try something else. Pictured is the house special Carnitas plate and the Chicken chimichanga.

Got the lunch specials with queso and a bottle of Coke. I loved it. The food is good the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is like stepping into another world. Highly recommended.
